How far back do you go?
I had like a 5 digit ICQ number back in the day. I only downloaded AIM about a year ago, and am never on it.

Pedro's Midget
Personally I would say that I don't like big market teams because they are ruining the game. They are making so that at least a dozen teams on openning day every year, go into the season knowing that they have zero chance of winning anything that particular year. They go into the season knowing dispite the fact that they have drafted and developed a few incredible players, they will have to put that player up for bids because they know they won't be able to afford him because of the bloated salary structure. Instead they have to sit and pray that they can catch lightning in a bottle and hope that their attendance explodes enough where they can afford their starts instead of letting them walk away for draft picks. It is a bitter vicious cycle and it is costing MLB good markets. Look at places like Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Cincinatti etc. No one goes to the games, no one cares. Look no further than the NFL for a system that works. Even a team at its worst has hope because the cost structure can't escape and bury them. Within a couple of years, those elite teams lose players because of salary concerns, and those bad teams can draft well and resign players to catch those teams. What hope do the Pittsburgh Pirates have of being good anytime soon? Any player that is worth anything is perpetually on the trading block. No it isn't jealousy. It is love of the sport. It is love for MLB and not just the Yankees and Red Sox.

Robin Ventura is retiring
Its a purely subjective thing decided by Sox ownership. I would retire the old 23, but that is just me, and I am a lot biased when it comes to Robin.

Your World Wish List
So out of curiousity, does that mean you are against aid for FLA hurricane relief? That money is coming out of a later appropriation. http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/10/11/...s.ap/index.html

1992. We actually had to go backdoor into someone elses access in order to get on-line. It was a pain in the ass.

Robin Ventura is retiring
Off of Goose Gossage. That might be my personal all time favorite moment in my short White Sox history. It was nuts.

Have we ever stopped junk mail? And this is cheaper...

R.I.P Christopher Reeve
Just a wild guess, but I would guess that he was on a ton of medication because of the paralysis. Some of that stuff is rough on the heart.

Honestly it isn't a big deal either way.

Final Swiftees Push for Bush
I am so sick of the 527s. We need campaign finance reform and not this joke that we have now.

More so than Selig. The players are the ones who are stopping the progress on this issue. The owners want to protect their investments.

Robin Ventura is retiring
I'm gonna miss Robin. Best clutch hitter I have seen on the southside.

Congrats to the Cards....
Good for the Cards, now lets make it an NL Central final with the Astros taking out the Bravos. (but I am not holding my breath)
