It is also the first time that Aaron has been the starter for an entire 162 game season. It isn't that big of a deal.

INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUES
Actually each ML team sends some players to a particular team. Usually a team is made up of 4 (IIRC) different teams players. They are sent usually to either get IP/AB or work on specific skills ie learning a new position, new pitch, bunting, stealing, etc. The Sox are sending guys to a team in AZ, I know there is a thread on here somewhere about the specific players being sent.

Why wouldn't our "allies" support war in Iraq
I have got a laugh out of the replies in this thread. It is OK to presume that Bush started a war for oil, but when France Germany and Russia didn't want a war because they lost their same presumed profit opportunities, excuses are made for them. I would have thought greed was greed, guess not. It is pretty well know that some pretty big companies in FR, GER, and RUS, were owed some pretty big money by Saddam and Co in Iraq, and those companies have been laying big pressure on their governements to insure that that money isn't lost. That is the big reason when Bush went to these countries to excuse lots of their forgein debts, they hit a brick wall.

The Most Underrated Player in Baseball
So what? If he is third in chances (stay with me here, this is kinda complex) that means he is getting to (still with me?) the 3rd most balls of any LF. So unless there is some kind of crazy vortex (vast right wing conspiracy maybe?) that aims baseballs right at Carlos Lee's feet, I would have to say (I know this is a stretch) that means he has some range.

Jeremy Reed
Are you telling me that the Sox are going to be able to get a pitcher of that caliber on the free agent market for that price, without getting out bid by the pitching starved/high spending Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, Orioles and company? Tell me you know better than that. Geesh Bartlolo Colon got 4 years at over $13 mil a year. And the Yankees weren't even pushing that hard. Doesn't that tell you something?

Crede
I had thought he was gone too, but to bring him back to the team on the last weekend of the season, isn't something you do with a guy you are dumping. You just dump him and keep him out of the clubhouse.
