KW offered Maggs a more than fair deal, even based on what money Vlad got this winter. Maggs has said his first choice to try free agency. The Sox have done a great job of getting their core players signed long term to good deals.

Actually if anything it strengthens the arguements for MLK. He lived his religion and beliefs until he died. He NEVER compromised his religious beliefs for nonviolence, and he wouldn't let his followers. Also not really mentioned in this was how good the pitching was. Garland only gave up 3 runs working 6 innings (very early in the spring) and then Marte, Koch, and Adkins came in and worked easy scoreless innings. KW did say that Adkins still has a chance to make the team FWIW.
