7/6 Twins @ Sox, 1:10 PM
That barely tucked around, but he got it fair.

7/6 Twins @ Sox, 1:10 PM
That's a routine play even for an awful 1B. He either wasn't concentrating or didn't want to bend through pain.

7/6 Twins @ Sox, 1:10 PM
He just didn't get down to that ball, which probably goes back to him trying to play through leg problems.

7/6 Twins @ Sox, 1:10 PM
Holy crap, the Sox made a key defensive play out of a bad one.

Who hates Tim Anderson as a Sox fan? That's absurd in a season where TLR is our manager.

That would require management.

7/6 Twins @ Sox, 1:10 PM
Getting our teeth kicked in by the first place team in three straight wouldn't be nearly as bad if I thought it would bring about some kind of change, but tomorrow will be the same as today, same as yesterday until Tony either quits or kicks off.

That AB couldn't have been more predictable. First pitch soft GDIP.

Fire Tony Chant
I am really struggling to try to think of another Sox team that played this dumb of baseball. I mean I know we have had some young and rebuilding teams over the years, but even so this is for sure the dumbest veteran team in my life time. I just can't fathom how Jerry watches this and doesn't insist SOMETHING is done. Fire Tony, Fire Menachino, Fire Hahn... I don't even care if it is one or all of them. But how can you watch this and just do NOTHING? This team has either quit on Tony, or has regressed more than any team I can ever recall seeing.

There is yet another play that won't show up in the box score as an error, but it going to cost this team.

In fact crime rates were WAY higher when all of us were kids.

Sox over/under at 4 runs is just pathetic.

Eloy back, Burger, VV to IL, Lambert recalled, Mendick to 60 day IL
Serious question, have you actually watched this team play defense? Because we have quite literally had players injure each other and themselves during their fielding attempts.

Rick Hahn - Mastermind of Failure
This has nothing to do with any of that, but sure. Find more reasons to be mad about something that is pretty straight forward. Do you quit your job every time your boss does something you don't like?

Fired and quitting midseason are not the same thing.

I would "expect" you do be able to separate out being a "fan" and the common sense of how to deal with adversity in a professional situation. No one asked anyone to like it. Understanding it is pretty straight forward.

That's a few words to say that your expectations of a person ruining his professional career sooner than deal with something he doesn't like at work aren't realistic.

Injuries like that can happen literally at any point. You can go from a 2 to a 6 on the pain scale with the wrong swing or throw if something is already irritated. Players play with 2 pain all of the time, or they would never play. It is also worth mentioning that with the new rules limiting how many times a player can be optioned in a year, this is a backdoor work around that potentially as well.

Rick Hahn - Mastermind of Failure
I know people say that, but it might not be as easy as you want it to be. Remember when Kenny Williams wanted to interview for a promotion with Toronto, Jerry wouldn't let him. He required him to serve out his contract before he could interview, and by that time the opportunity was gone. No idea what Hahn's deal looks like, but his opportunities are probably serve out his contract, or make a scene quitting midseason, and make himself look poisonous for quitting on his team during a season like Ozzie did. Even if he did quit, I am pretty sure he wouldn't be able to take another similar job in MLB until his original deal expired. Is it worth all of that reputation and professional risk?

Or something happened and it got worse. It happens.

Rick Hahn - Mastermind of Failure
It would have been interesting to have a manager who was willing to use both Hendriks and Kimbrel in various situations to see if he could actually maximize having two closers at the back of the been. Instead Tony just kept doing the same thing day after day, and watching it fail day after day.

I wonder how much they backdated this? That might be the telling part. And for Jake this is way better than being sent down as it allows him to still draw and MLB check and be around the team.

The one thing I keep thinking is that the Twins have just as bad of an injury history as the Sox do, but I do think their hitting approach would be different, so I would guess more, but still as many games missed due to injury.
