Good lord man, this is literally all about the team. I know you don't like it, but don't gaslight the man. And this team is way better ON paper, as the results of the game are the biggest problem. The optimism is all on paper because it is all about if this goes right, and these guys are ranked here, and if this goes right, and if Ishbia spends, and if this goes right... the actual results on the field have been some of the worst in baseball history the last 3 years. (2024, most losses in MLB history, 2024-25, 2nd most losses in MLB history over 2 seasons, 2023-25 3rd most losses in MLB history over three seasons)

For the record, anyone who wants to participate in these so called "prediction market" realize there is zero market regulation and consumer protection built into these. Unlike say a real futures market, or sports betting, there is no clear legal regulatory entity which oversees these items, and it is pretty much the wild west, complete with unfettered market manipulation that cannot currently be stopped.

Tier, by definition, is more than one team. Trying to make the Sox look better, by pointing strays at teams in much smaller markets just makes the point of how bad the Sox have been. Even their biggest contract of the winter (a massive 40 billion, no wait, million) almost didn't happen until the front office went into Jerry’s office and begged him into signing a deal somewhere around 15 to 20% of initial expectations. This is one of last remaining teams in MLB to not have a single nine figure deal, again, bottom tier. Feel optimism all you like, but don't gaslight the obvious.
