  1. 38 seems right to me, but I am sure they look at the list and decide who is in front of them, and how many guys could potentially displace people already on the roster. A lot of these guys have weird histories that make them tough to roster, which is why they end up here.
  2. Keep in mind if the Sox are going to make any Rule 5 picks, they need to be as many slots UNDER 40 as they plan on picking. They need to be at 39 to pick once, and 38 to pick twice.
  3. It's not at all surprising. They probably still didn't make much this year.
  4. I do feel bad for Twins fans, just nor for the Twins.
  5. That was a garbage ass ruling. His hand was wrapped over the bat, and was clearly hit.
  6. We replaced Eddy with ChatGPT six months ago and no one noticed.
  7. So his stuff regressed and he still hurt himself. Wonderful.
  8. Schweitzer and Adams have zero chance at being rule 5 picks. Adams especially would mean someone would have to give up a 40 man roster spot to pick him and wait until the spring when you can open the 60 day DL and remove him. Berroa and Bush are quick DFAs to get off of the 40 man roster, and won't be missed if they are picked. I know Murphy has had plenty of low level success, but nothing in his profile screams the kind of stuff that gets a guy picked in the Rule 5. Maybe someone goes crazy, but I would call it 90/10 against it happening. Thorpe gets re-rostered for sure. The only pitchers that have been talked about that need to really be protected are Pallette and McDougal.
  9. Again, this is where roster management continues to baffle me. Like we KNOW we are to evaluation time for them, with their 40 man decisions just weeks away. Get them up here, let them learn on the job. While they are out now, why are we wasting time on the Wilsons and Hudson's of the world? Get Pallette, McDougal, etc into these positions. TF do we need to see Tyler Gilbert again for?
  10. It was the whole anti-tank idea. If there wasn't extra incentive for being #30, maybe teams don't try THAT hard to lose.
  11. Seeing those numbers it just continues to amaze me how hard this organization fought against playing some of these guys on a daily basis, both bringing in crappy utility guys, and then either keeping them in the minors, or just plain benched.
  12. Ignore the positions in Pic 1, pay attention to the odds. The only thing I am not sure of is how the odds in pic 2 change when you factor in the disqualified teams.
  13. I never said Getz was free to hire who he wanted.
  14. First win in 206 games of trailing after 8 apparently.
  15. The Sox big break is that a lot of the worst teams are disqualified from the top 10 this year. We will see if it pays off. It would be a great year to be in the top 3 from the sounds of it.
  16. If you really NEED the parking, put up parking garages to more efficiently utilize the space, and build something useful on the rest. If the Bears can do it, the Sox can do it with a fraction of the crowds.
  17. The Twins in current form, might actually be worse than the White Sox. This team is just terrible.
  18. https://southsideshowdown.com/noah-syndergaard-says-he-got-shafted-by-chicago-white-sox-after-release-news
  19. The Sox are also free not to hire who they want, and the fans are free to express their opinions on who they hire.
