lmao. Never change Sale.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
This could be really fun. Sounds like a good chunk of BOS and NYY aren't vaccinated. Going to be a really interesting advantage for Toronto to get to play a ton of teams at home with those teams not only on the road, but short handed. They might be a sneaky pick to bet on this year.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
- Judge rules minor league players are MLB employees throughout year.
We will see if it holds up on appeal, but it would be huge if it does.- Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)
- Offensively, the Sox are better in RF than either of the last two years
Sorry Mr Sheets, no need to scream.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
And the numbers bore that out, with Sheets still worse. But in LF Vaughn rated really high vs his peers. Sheets was still bad.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
I figured this would upset you, but Sheets numbers also agreed with the eye test. He made some awful mistakes, and didn't show any real competitancy out there in a limited sample. Maybe he gets better with some practice, but last year wasn't good.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
If you hit up fangraphs defensive ratings and sort is for LF with at least 700 innings, Andrew Vaughn ranks 4th out of 15 qualified players. Expand that out to 300 innings and he is still 15th out of 45. Statistically, Andrew Vaughn was a significantly above average defensive LF. It's probably a little harder to get a good reading on Sheets because of SSS, but he had -32 and -35 UZRs in LF and RF respectively, compared to 0.5 and -20.2 for Vaughn. So far, Sheets looks Fisk in LF bad in the OF, and Vaughn looks above average vs his peers.- Poll about RF and SP
It would describe his defense and the Sox OF defense in general, perfectly.- Spring Training thread

I will be honest, I wouldn't throw nine figures at Judge or Stanton.- Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)
If Kenny was really still involved, we would have seen a swing for the fences type of trade made a long time ago. He would have gone out and gotten a #1 pitcher or a star OF, or something like that. Love him or hate him, but the dude swung for the fences when he thought he could win. At these moments, I kinda miss Kenny's style.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
Reading this strikes me as a kind of inkblot test. Every Sox fan can read this and find exactly what they want to believe in it.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin

Probably still better than Eaton.- White Sox linked to Manaea/Montas
We already know that Kelly isn't supposed to break camp.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
It is now. But they also have to be looking at what happens if Robert gets hurt, or Eloy gets hurt, or Leury gets hurt, or Anderson gets hurt... maybe even at the same time, etc.- Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
It means they like his bat enough that giving him ways to get into games is enough of a priority that they are wiling to suffer through that again. They are also probably planning for the inevitable injuries of other guys and want to have options.Account
