I've yet to see one of these off-season plans that does not look like a 3rd place team in the division. I'm depressed for next season already.

Eovaldi right off the bat seems like a guy that could benefit from accepting and try FA again next year.

I suspect Judge was receiving the benefit of non-humidor balls all year so the MLB could push the HR chase. When comparing annual HR leaders vs the 2nd place guy, Judge put up a historic variance. I did the math from 1970-2022, Judge's season represents the biggest variance in that window from HR leader to 2nd place guy, at a whopping 34.78% increase from the 2nd place batter. Only other instance with a 30% or greater variance was 1989. Judge is great, but something is fishy about his past season.

Last name is misspelled in the thread title, starts with a Y.

Can't a guy have a dissenting opinion? No hurt feelings over here.

I'm pretty sure Jason would call himself a nerd, he has a CP campaign called "Awkward Moments." Some of you guys are actively looking to be offended by innocuous comments on this board.

Any and all, if Jason Benetti isn't a nerd, then nobody is.

that's fine, I find the fanboy schtick to be quite annoying

another all timer

"it's not rocket surgery" and "you've got Shingo Takatsu out here blowing slaves" are my 2 fav DJ lines ever and still in frequent rotation in my lexicon.

this is true, a VPN can be used to bypass I'm told

It becomes difficult to listen to a nerd that has never fielded a grounder in his life talk baseball as an authority on the subject over the long haul, I'm ready for a fresh voice. If it's Kaspar however, I'll be on the opposing feed as others mentioned.

thanks so much!

appreciate that!

appreciate you, thanks!

0-11 with bases loaded, tallest midget award, goodbye Jose.

Yeah, it was shared in a Patch article and after that It's shot up pretty quickly, they had an anonymous $10k donation the other day! The wife is a special ed teacher and Zack had just finished up an internship and was only 2 months into the new job, so they can certainly use all the help they can get right now.

That's great, appreciate it. I think a ton of people knew Zack from this PulseTv website he worked at for a while making silly videos selling overstock type junk items. I actually sent WhiteSoxDave a DM on Twitter in the hopes he would share and he did immediately, so he's not all bad after all.

Soxtalk brothers, apologies if this is not the appropriate place to share, but trying to raise some money for a good cause. My best friend since 3rd grades little brother was tragically killed in a car accident last Friday on his way to work. He leaves behind 4 children under the age of 7, 2 that he adopted out of the foster care system. He was truly a great guy and a Sox fan, the family is raising money to try to weather the initial storm, if anybody can spare anything at all or share the link, I would be forever in your debt. Thank you in advance! https://www.gofundme.com/f/raddatz-kulak-family-support

A thin skinned D-bag that flicks off fans? Yeah, what's sad is it took this long for him to show his true colors.

There are so few catchers in the league that provide offense these days, just get 2 cheap guys that are + defensively and allocate the $'s elsewhere.

Really sinking in that there's no quick fix for this squad in Free Agency. Just go ahead and sell everyone for Ohtani.

Yeah they might with Ashby and Peralta around, they need run producers. I just think you'll need a more attractive offer to get Burnes.

I agree, this team needs better SP if they want to win a playoff game. I'd love to see Burnes in a Sox uniform, Milwaukee might consider that deal if you toss in Dylan Cease, no chance they give him up for only AV. Maybe they would listen on Woodruff with his Reynaud's syndrome concerns and ankle injury this year.

Does anybody know if arb is based on a weighted WAR scale in the new CBA? Thought I remembered seeing that and I was looking for confirmation yesterday online with no success.
