  1. It's fucking criminal that Allen Robinson isn't even a Pro Bowl alternate. Idk how people could have watched football this year and come to the conclusion that Robinson isn't one of the top 5 WRs in the NFC. Also, with the way Miller has come on in the last few weeks, there's no way in hell that they should cut or trade him.
  2. It's a shame they gave away Kerrith Whyte. They would have been a good compliment for each other.
  3. They need to move salary so they can re-sign Betts.
  4. I know of a certain person who said their goal is exactly that.
  5. I know that pitching is an unnatural motion. I'm more concerned about those with shoulder issues than those with elbow issues. Most pitchers have one or the other. Elbow issues don't affect performance nearly as much.
  6. I'm always worried about pitchers with a history of shoulder injuries. Especially those that don't throw hard. Both Keuchel and Ryu have a history of shoulder issues.
  7. That's the issue with the Sox.....They're afraid of the last year of every deal. I honestly don't know what I want the Sox to do at this point. Honestly with how the offseason has gone, the best thing to do might be to take fliers on Walker/Wood/McHugh.
  8. http://www.espn.com/mlb/freeagents/_/position/sp This is the list of FA starters left. If not Ryu/Keuchel, then who? And what's to guarantee that any will be better than Santana last year?
  9. I hope that Bumgarner had no interest in leaving the NL West, otherwise this is just ridiculous for the Sox to not bite at that price point. I would have given him a 4 year deal at that price.
  10. Thank you. People need to stop making excuses for Mack being a complete non factor.
  11. That being said, the Andy McFail stuff was hilarious. Something the entire city could laugh at.
  12. Kenny Clark blowing up the Bears offensive gameplan.
  13. Yeah, that package seems feather light. Isn't Kluber 35 years old though?
  14. Clevinger and Bieber are still really good.
  15. Yeah, given that he's no longer with Boras, there is hope of him re-signing if he figures it out. That makes a huge difference.
  16. They don't need all of them to do fill those spots, they need two of them to fill the top 2 spots. If Cease becomes a #4 it's ok. They can find a #3 starter elsewhere. They need Giolito to, at worst, repeat his 2019 season for the foreseeable future and Kopech to become the ace quality pitcher we all think he can be. Gio and Kopech are the Sox best bet for getting a true ace, and I wouldn't put it past either to pull it off. In a BEST case scenario, they both pull it off. I'm fairly confident that one of the two will reach ace level. There's much more uncertainty with Cease, but he has that ability as well. I'm not sure the command ever gets there. I've seen more ability to hit spots out of Giolito and Kopech(in his limited sample size) than Cease.
  17. I don't hate Ryu. He's a tier above Bumgarner and Keuchel......when he's available. Which isn't often enough. Love the pitcher, hate the lack of durability.
  18. Ryu is the best pitcher, but I'd have a hard time going more than 2 years for him. His durability is a huge question. I don't understand the sentiment to rush to sign a player that's probably going to pitch 90-120 innings per season.
  19. Why are you talking about greedy agents? What about the greedy owners? There's not a team in baseball that couldn't afford Cole's contract and if anyone tells you otherwise, they're a liar. Instead of being mad at Scott Boras, be mad at Jerry for not being willing to meet his price.
  20. This rebuild, as it stands, revolves around Giolito, Kopech and Cease. The Sox need at least one to develop into a bonafide ace. Even if Giolito maintains his performance from 2019 and never gets any better or worse, he's still a strong #2. At that point, the onus falls on Kopech and Cease.
