i agree with the majority here Danks is our best trading piece right now and as much as id love to see him stay it make sense to trade him if you can get a starting bat in return. Even if we do resign PK the sox still need another big time bat like a Rasmus or Fielder. I'd be really happy if one of the following 3 happened, Id either 1. resign PK and trade DAnks for a lefty bat 2.sign Dunn and trade Danks for a RH bat or 3. Sign Jayson Werth and trade Danks for a lefty bat. Resign Freddy or another serviceable 5th starter to start the year as the 5th starter while Sale starts in the minors, even though just like Mike Leake did for Cincy I believe Sale could start right away but itd be nice to have the insurance of a freddy garcia.

i personally love juan, if the man could take a walk hed be an all star..... interesting stat, hes tied for 16th in the league in hits with derek jeter, who had 12 more at bats. that coupled with the base stealing im all for some JP.

A LOT is riding on CQ though if he has a season like he had a few years back this team could be really really good... A CQ and/or DAnks/Floyd for a proven middle of the order hitter (Prince Fielder is the only name that comes to mind) would be ideal though

the simple addition of a real dh should improve this team significantly, whether that be manny again for another year or KW trading for one. I dont see one being brought in via FA unless PK is let go which IMO offsets the addition of the FA. With the depth of our starting pitching, Peavy, Buehrle, Jackson, Danks, Floyd, Sale, Freddy(hes ozzies boy so i see him being brought back), Pena, and even Harrell all looking like they could contribute if needed, I wouldnt be surprised to see someone moved for that DH and im hoping its Floyd and pieces for prince fielder. Lead off LF Juan Pierre, no questions here, I wish he'd walk more but only signing carl crawford changes my mind here. Batting 2nd 2B Gordon Beckham, I think getting him back in the 2 spot and him performing like we know/hope/has shown he's capable of hitting I think will be another huge plus for this team. 3rd DH/1B Prince Fielder, oh how I'd love for this to happen, I assume with all the speculation there has been on here through out the year that he would be available and I think the sox would have the the best SP to give up in Floyd/Danks to get a deal done. Cleanup DH/1B Paul Konerko 5th CF Alex Rios 6th C AJP 7th RF CQ 8th SS Lexi 9th 3b Brent Morel if PK isnt brought back id like to see Manny resigned and you still do the prince deal and bat Manny in front of Fielder. That looks pretty damn good to me and you couple that with Buehrle Peavy Danks (im hoping its floyd that gets traded not johnny) Ejax Garcia/Sale/Pena and your lookin at a team id be very excited to watch
