  1. Problem is, right now....we have too many solid to good bats and we can't fit them all in the lineup. AS bad as it sounds, and Roman if you are reading, I am a huge Frank fan, but he may need a few games on the bench. He changes his stance, resulting in some great hitting, then he will go right back to what he was doing. When Frank is off, he pops EVERYTHING up to the right side of the field. Let Frank have a few days off, let CLee play LF, ARow in CF, and Carl at DH...PK doesn't deserve to not play right now. He always has hit into alot of DPs, but its magnified this year because he hit into so many while he was way off.
  2. Dude, it has NEVER been like this anytime I can remember...last summer, we couldnt buy a rainstorm..everything was dying produce wise. This year, we are WAY over our average rainfall....go figure...I would hope you werent too impressed by the Carolinas, I'm sure as hell not. I tell most people I talk to about this state that we are about 50 years behind the rest of the country in everything...very irritating.
  3. Judging by minorleaguebaseball.com, Jason, he was up just yesterday...nice catch on that one.
  4. And ...of course...The Deacon, Warren Newsome!!!!
  5. I saw that play on the tvs inside the club level hallways after the Bruce concert - your comment about St JosE6 "run us out of the inning" Valentin are calmer than mine were, so I will agree to yours. (But why do we keep him? His fielding? His hitting? His base running? ) No, no, no....its because of his leadership abililty I'm about tired of that excuse...if Jose would just hit left-handed all the time, he could be a 260 hitter, and I would be satisfied with that. But it won't happen, so we get a SS that produces a BA around 235 for $5 mill a year........SWEET!!!
  6. Yeah, in the 2nd inning I started thinking, "Uh-oh...doesn't look like Mark has his good stuff tonight." But apparently I was a little premature...He is starting to deal now.
  7. Jim...with one on, one out...Molina hit one to straight away centerfield and ARow wen back to the wall, set up, and made the leaping catch to rob the HR. Then, with 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 1st..someone got a basehit to CF, ARow charged it, made a one hop throw to home and gunned down Spezio for the final out...pretty solid plays.
  8. OK,..tell me how many teams in the majors right now have 4-man rotations, and tell me how many SUCCESSFUL teams have them. You CAN'T do it right now, these guys have been pitching tons of innings. Buehrle and COlon are both in the top 10 in the AL in IP. We don't need to put anymore strain on these 2 arms.
  9. NOpe...wrong answer....all the starters have voiced their opinions against it, and we don't need 4 tired starters if we happen to make the playoffs. In other news, looks like Pop-Up King Thomas is back, at least for a couple days. Frank always decides to change his hitting approach, no matter what is working for him....I am confused at his approach most of the time.
  10. Yikes...Yanks getting POUNDED by KC....Jeff Weaver does his job again.
  11. And yet ANOTHER good play by ARow...my man....robbing a HR from Molina, then gunning out a runner at the plate for the 3rd out...get 'em ARow!!!
  12. Nice play by ARow in CF, taking a HR away from Molina...does anyone here need pbp?
  13. Fine and well, Roman...but tell me who DOES deserve a shot at the #5 position in the Rotation?
  14. Not exactly the team that I want someone with control problems to face...but anyways...at least he gets another shot.
  15. Well, Carl has been playing everyday, and Rowand was about due for a start...but it seems like we always play all the bench guys on the same day, thus making our lineup have an AAA-like appearance. If I'm JM, I don't move CLee from the #2 spot...he just clicks there.

  17. Nice!!! Someone on here remembers Corey Jenkins....actually Rex, he was our QB last year, and is now 2nd string MLB for the Miami Dolphins!! Go check nfl.com and look on the DOlphins page....Coaches have been raving about him, he is a great athlete
  18. Well, I am here because I like the free reign of conversation....censorship is for the other Sox boards, I enjoy a good debate with other Sox fans on here that aren't afraid to be proven wrong. If thats too much "bad" Whitesox posting for ya, sorry to hear that.
  19. You've hit on all the things I was saying when Koch was getting torn to shreds, but no one wanted to hear it. It was easier for folks to just say "Koch sucks" The guy was way overworked, plain and simple, and he has already had at least 1 elbow surgery. But people want to have selective memories, and just say "Botch Sucks". People irritate me sometimes.
  20. Yeah, there are gonna be alot of lost souls on here now..now Rick White, no Billy Koch....OH NO!!! Now we have no scapegoat.."what about that Neal Cotts kid, we can blame him everyday if we lose!!"
  21. Yeah, get him out..and bring in the uber-better Danny Wright That guy Wright is awesome!!! You ready to eat some crow? Props to Danny tonight. Eat Crow? I can count how many good outings Danny Wright has had on 1 hand. Great, he got the job done tonight...'bout damn time he did something right. Lets see if he can do it more than 1 time in a row before we make him Mr. Reliable
  22. CLee, hands down....age is the biggest reason, but CLee has been playing ball the right way, and I like to reward homegrown players.
  23. I also like how he most of the time can't run down anything to the alleys, and always throws to the wrong base allowing the runner on 1st to go to 2nd....but he has been hitting the ball
  24. WARNING: GLARING GENERALIZATION!!
  25. Thats exactly what I'm saying...its no big shocker that Cotts walks ALOT of guys...but the people on here are acting like they expected a complete reversal of fortune, in his 1st start, in MLB on the ROAD!!
