I just hope the Sox don't send Tekotte as a kicker for any deal. He is outstanding at getting thrown out on the bases. I think he can even get better at it once father time kicks in a little bit, and he loses a step.

Supposedly Oakland's plan if they got Peavy, was to trade him this winter.

What mixed signals? You either pay a fair price or you don't get the player. The White Sox don't have to trade Peavy. If the offers aren't there you can trade him in the winter or keep him and try to win next year. I don't understand why a price being considered too high is being called mixed signals. I think it is a pretty clear signal.

That is what Paul Konerko has put up this year. Plus with perceived motivational issues, why would anyone pick up that contract, let alone give you anything of significance for that opportunity?
