  1. That's fine, but you're assuming he doesn't do these things. I would be willing to bet if he doesn't want to do these things, the White Sox force him to. They are paying him a lot of money. Some guys just don't have bodies that hold up all that well.
  2. What is Eloy obviously not doing that he should be doing? I'm as frustrated as anyone he's hurt again, but to say it's all because of neglect is making a ton of assumptions. He may just have body parts that breakdown. The real sad part about this is, he's probably going to be on a major decline earlier than most.
  3. I've been to games and have seen Eloy on the field stretching and running with the training staff.
  4. Eloy was grimacing after he rolled into a DP.
  5. I think Eloy is hurt again.
  6. The Braves are what the White Sox were supposed to be.
  7. According to Nightengale, Pedro’s predecessor, Tony, also had cancer.
  8. It’s always been the case. People give Yaz s%*# but he and Seby have the same CS rate over the last 3 years. Most of the time, Johnny Bench in his prime has no chance.
  9. When they struggled controlling the zone on the offensive side of the ball, we heard they were all learning a system and it was going to get better. It didn’t get better. The team, almost 100 games , is still ill prepared. Nothing has been better. He can give subtle call outs all he wants, but they need to have an effect. They never do. He seems like a fine man, and a nice guy to have on a staff, but he is not a major league manager. A Peter Principle guy.
  10. When he has any semblance of command he is a starter, and a good one. When he does not, he is not useful in any way. Why would not making it through an inning make people think he’s a good reliever? He’s gone through this before, hopefully he can turn it around. I also hope it isn’t because he’s hurt a lot worse than thought.
  11. With this quote he admits they are not prepared. And they game after this quote, they seemed even less prepared. That’s his job. He has failed. Time to move on.
  12. The reason the Sox suck isn’t Pedro Grifol. But, and I was very impressed with his introductory press conference when hired, he’s all talk. The team isn’t prepared. They were still on break last night. They don’t hustle. They don’t control the zone like we were told they will on both sides of the ball. In fact, they are one of baseballs worst. He has no guts to put TA in a different slot I’m the order. His bullpen usage is wacky. Hitters seem like they never have read a scouting report or looked at video at way too many pitchers. The best manager in the world may have this team in contention because they only have to be around .500. It’s rather obvious Pedro is in over his head. What exactly does he bring that Ricky Renteria did not? A competent front office would let him go at the end of the season. A competent owner would let the GM go by now. I have the feeling they all will be back next year. If they are and somehow put together a team that should be decent, Pedro’s bad managing will be a reason they failed. Just another in a long line of JR, KW, RH mistakes.
  13. We’re going to control the strike zone on both sides of the ball.
  14. It’s shocking where TA is now. This guy won a batting title. Now he looks like a guy they pulled from the stands to take a few cuts. Tonights game may be ugly.
  15. So if this is accurate, the White Sox have had 2 7 game winning streaks the last 10.5 seasons. FIRE RICK HAHN
  16. 6 home games before April 4th. Geniuses.
  17. Apparently they were high school sweethearts. It's too bad, but at least there are no kids in the middle.
  18. Please respect their privacy at this very difficult time.
  19. That's pretty cool.
  20. I agree. I have no problem with them drafting SS. If they drafted 6 SS and they all could play, unlike other positions, they could find a spot for them. CF could play either corner. C and P are obvious.
  21. The great thing about drafting SS is that most, if they can play SS, can play anywhere except P and C. Although, a guy like TA, would be a good C.
  22. The last White Sox 2nd round pick that put up over 2 career WAR for them was Terry Forster drafted over 50 years ago.
  23. A summer Saturday afternoon crowd of 26,000 on Luis Robert bobblehead day worries the crap out of them. Especially with how Cardinals fans travel.
  24. Is TA just playing hurt, or is he done? He is about as awful as anyone in the sport.
  25. Nice win vs. the NL White Sox.
