To me that is exactly it. Never trying to really be the best, just, as you wrote, good enough. They FO lacks killer instinct. It should be no surprise, the rest of the organization lacks it as well.

Yes. 2021 was a good year, but there were clear weaknesses, and those weaknesses were barely addressed. The FO wasn't totally committed IMO. They tried to get by on the cheap, and where they did spend their money, it was wrong. I think they were mesmerized by the fact that they were in the AL Central, and putting a juggernaut on the field wasn't necessary. I look forward to some day having an ownership and front office committed to being the best they can be, and not just trying to be good enough.

What really makes me salty is everyone misses, but what in the world has Hahn ever done to make anyone think he could lead this team to championships? For every positive, their are 4 or 5 hamstringing negatives with everything he does.

It's worth a shot to see if this adjustment really did something. He has had stretches of MLB success offensively. It costs you JM. But Haseley or Billy Hamilton are still around for defense. Probably nothing, but worth a shot. Wish he wad a lefty.

Clint Frazier is an interesting cat. He has a ton of talent, but he's been kind of an ass with a bad attitude. Hopefully he has matured, and this new stance gets him where he could be. I think he was a top 10 prospect in all of baseball at one point.

I've paid to watch a lot of guys hit that couldn't hit. Of the names on the list, Eloy. I like watching them go high and far, and when he's hot, he can do it as well as anyone.

He also started using that video thing with pitches Burger has been using. Those 2 using it, no mention of the others,hmmmm. His numbers really are incredible considering he has a 5-56 in there.
