  1. The funny thing is Hahn did a much better job trading his better players for prospects than most GMs do. Look at the crap the Tigers got for Verlander. If he did average on the Sale, Q and Eaton trades, this team would be now on over a decade since playing a meaningful game. They don't have that type of currency anymore. Common sense would lead anyone to believe RH and KW have to go, now.
  2. 39-34 81-81 23-35 143-150 So since the All Star break in 2021, almost 2 full seasons, the Sox are 7 under, including being mediocre at best for all or parts of 3 straight seasons. What Hahn is clinging to, doesn't exist. It's a bad team. Think what their record would be if they didn't get to play the AL Central so much.
  3. Championship quality players. He actually said it with a straight face.
  4. They just had Season Ticketholder Appreciation Week. They gave them a free bag a popcorn and a discounted ticket to parade around the field one game. If the really appreciated them the week would have looked like this: Monday-fired the hitting coaches Tuesday-fired Ethan Katz Wednesday- fired Pedro Grifol Thursday-fired Chris Getz Friday-fired Rick Hahn Saturday-fired KW Sunday-JR announces he has sold the team That would be appreciation.
  5. The amount of games the last couple seasons that were basically over after the 1st inning reminds me of the James Shields era.
  6. Alls not list. If the Sox don't improve, they will be in line to draft the next Carson Fulmer.
  7. Funny thing is Yaz has a history of getting in some horrific slumps. Then getting unbelievably hot.
  8. He's probably the typical White Sox middle infield/back up prospect going back to Chris Snopek. But he has to be better than Alberto. Has some power, and can play a decent 2B.
  9. Andrus is almost ready so I figured Romy was headed to Charlotte. Not now. Elvis or Hanser are soon to be DFA'd.
  10. How can he afford it? I thought he was close to broke?
  11. Sox have acquired JRs favorite, Cash Considerations for Jake Marisnik.
  12. Do they have any international bonus pool money left? JR can sell players for that again.
  13. That was one of my biggest questions when analytics really started taking over. Eminor was on them early and there was another poster that used to tag team with him on it. They knew their stuff, no question, but I never understood the logic how K's meant nothing to a hitter, just another out was the reasoning, when putting the ball in play could lead to hits and errors and runs, And the just another out meant the world to a pitcher. That part never made any sense to me, just like protection in a line up. The problem with protection is it is almost impossible to measure, yet talk to any pitcher or coach or manager, some players are pitched differently depending who is on deck. In fact, Ed Hermann once led the AL in intentional walks. He hit 8th, in front of the pitcher. According to sabermatricians, protection doesn't matter.
  14. They have hitters that don't see a pitch they don't want to swing at. They have pitchers who walk and hit too many people and mess around so much their pitch count gets ridiculous, and they don't play good defense. Other than that, they are pretty good. I have no idea why this FO who have seen the same things over and over again, don't want to at least think maybe this isnt a way to build a team that wins all the time.
  15. I don't know if anyone saw the pregame show., but Ozzie talked to Shingos old interpreter who knows Ohtani really well. Ohtani would love yo play for the Cubs, but Chicago is too cold for him.
  16. You would think that an organization that doesn't value defense at all, would at least have a better than average offense.
  17. Jimmy Lambert to the IL with ERA inflammation.
  18. If losing 8 out of 10 instead of 6 out of 10 would force change, I would be all for it. You must cheer for wins. It’s all you have. They could set records for losing. The same dopes would be still making decisions.
  19. I’m guessing Scholtens, and then Lambert when Clevinger returns Friday. That is if there is no one hurt.
  20. I suspect Rick will speak to the media today, focus mostly on Liam’s return, which is fine, then take some questions regarding the struggles. He will say it has obviously hasn’t gone as thought or hoped, but there has been some improvement lately, and with Liam and Crochet and Eloy back, and Clevinger in line to make his next start, he still believes in this team, blah, blah, blah. No one will challenge him. THe one thing I don’t get is those that point to the Sox schedule being difficult in April and some of May. So what? If you expect them to be a playoff team shouldn’t playing them be difficult? If you expect them to do damage in the playoffs, shouldn’t they be able to beat good teams?
