  1. He’s been working with som pretty advanced things. I wouldn’t be too nervous. He wouldn’t change if it didn’t make him better. BTW, they had Eloy on MLBN today. He looks good. Yonder Alonso was interviewing him. He looks 70 lbs. lighter than Yonder.
  2. Which is reminiscent of the team's strategy before the rebuild. Mired in mediocrity. Hahn was correct about something. Having the same fools in charge, doing the exact same thing, shouldn't surprise anyone. If they were serious about winning, RH and KW would have been shown the door.
  3. I've never really understood these fake insiders. Maybe you get something from someone once and you post it, and you get enough people to think youre an insider, but if you really aren't, what's the motivation?
  4. Soxtalk is out as much as Sox core players.
  5. International signing day turns out to be just as exciting as the trade deadline and Winter Meetings for White Sox fans.
  6. I think the issue is if Grandal can't bounce back and at least be a regular, is Seby and his mostly impossible to maintain numbers good enough to be a regular. Is Perez ready to be a regular. Chances are, the answer to those questions is no. I
  7. Luis Robert comes up lame the last week of Spring Training, who plays CF?
  8. I know he has supposedly improved defensively, but why not sign a guy most likely cheaper, who pitchers love to throw to? I though the Sox could use a guy like Barnhart earlier. Stolen bases are about to become more prevalent, he would have been a better use of resources than Sanchez. It has to be BS.
  9. There obviously is time to make moves, but to me, I don’t know why fans should be excited. They weren’t good enough last year, lost their best player and leader, and at least 3rd best starter for nothing. Replaced the starter with a more expensive question mark. Signing Benitendi seems good, but I hope they really don’t think he’s the savior for which they are making him . Pedro has to be better than Tony, I ll give them that, but relying on the rest of the roster to remain healthy let alone have big time bounce back seasons? How baked is Hahn?
  10. A quote which will live in infamy. BTW, the big market White Sox mlb.com beat writer referred to Benintendi as a whale. I guess the seat has been removed.
  11. I don't think these will get snatched up as fast most nights. It's not a location upgrade for most. And for those it is, a $13 beer may be a little more than they want to spend.
  12. I don't know how it will translate to baseball, but it looks like a pretty intense exercise to me.
  13. I don’t think he would have been back. He had the pacemaker all last season. Now it’s an issue that can’t be dealt with? They said he had another issue. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was cognitive. There was a big difference difference between Tony’s postgame press conferences in 2021 and 2022 and 2011. im sure even JR realized Tony wasn’t the guy they needed last season.
  14. Both the Mets and Twins were willing to guarantee 6 years. Usually with the free agent whales who arent pushing 40, any production the last couple of years is gravy if you have any chance of landing them. So I'm thinking Correa probably looks like he has 3 or 4 more productive years left before the arthritis becomes a problem.
  15. Bob did write the Twins wanted him to take a physical before they began to negotiate again.
  16. I read something where the Bears were under some threshold and have to spend more money this off-season than any team has in an off season in NFL history.
  17. I think with a few decent players, next year they should be decent. They lost a lot of games they were in. A pass rusher, a receiver, a couple of decent lineman, maybe they win those games. But I do agree, they need multiple first round picks next year. I personally think they should at least think about moving on from Fields. I think he nets more than the #1 pick. Then you wind up with a guy who may be better, will be cheap for a few years, and probably multiple first rounders for Fields. But I would understand why they wouldn't take the gamble.
  18. Could you get what Houston got for Watson for Fields? Draft a QB1, trade Fields for 3 firsts, and a couple of more picks. Reset the QB rookie contract.
  19. The good news is this has a high rate of survival.
  20. Cancer is fucked up. Thoughts are with him and his family Hoping for a cancer free diagnosis as soon as possible.
  21. He's a cheaper version of Adam Engel. Hope he doesn't get 300-400 ABs, but not bad in a pinch.
  22. They also had a doctor on who said its' probable they see at least a little bit of arthritis. If anyone remembers the Boy Wonder, Robin Vetura's ankle injury, it was in spring training and gruesome. He came back and pllayed, and played really well for a while, but arthritis set in and he wound up retiring. it was so bad, he was using a cain. He had some surgery to relieve it.
  23. Steve Phillps the former GM, was talking about this on MLBN the other day. He said there is no way to get insurance on a pre existing condition. Correa's contract, no matter where he signs, is uninsurable.
  24. You do get your QB on a rookie contract for 2 more years. I just wonder what Fields would be like with decent protection and some top receivers. I don't think they would take the gamble. Some of these top picks have really sucked, and even starting a rookie, you are pretty much punting on 2023.
