  1. I'm between 300 and 400 on the Bears season ticket waiting list. Looks like next year is a lock. Pace needs to go. Nagy needs to go. The McCaskeys need to go. Ted Phillips needs to go. This team is awful. I didn't expect them to beat the Rams, especially in LA, but that defense is horrible. They might be the only team who can downgrade an offensive line that had Leno Jr. and Massie as its starting tackles. I know, injuries. They draft a guy who is only available because he has a bad back. He has back surgery. Shocking.
  2. He was great as a rookie. Now he couldn't tackle anyone in a Pee Wee game. What a waste of money.
  3. So you really think the Cubs would have traded Bryant to the White Sox? RH admitted he had to pay a White Sox tax on Kimbrel. Bryant is more beloved.
  4. Exactly. He gets overexposed, but he is quite valuable with his versatility and speed, and his teammates love him. Great guy to have on the bench.
  5. That’s the whole thing. It wasn’t real. Sure the Sox might have inquired and thrown some names at them, but it wasn’t going to happen.
  6. All that matters at this point is how Kimbrel or Krimble as Ozzie calls him, does in the playoffs. If he helps them win, the cost was high but a case will be made it was worth it. If he doesn’t, it was a bad trade. I think he has shown enough that no one is going to trade the Sox something useful and pay him $16 million, and I don’t think the Sox will pay a set up man that amount.
  7. Lynn looks great but he is limping.
  8. So people complain he shouldn’t bat where he bats in the line up, say he cannot hit with RISP, then b**** when he isn’t sent up to hit with RISP. Makes a lot of sense. Give him a break. I do not like Tony LaRussa the human being or manager, but he made the right move keeping him in the dugout.
  9. His legs are probably sore, but the most likely scenario with what is going on with him is he likely has hit a wall. Most players have at least a couple of full minor league seasons under their belts when they get to this level, he has none. A little mental and physical break could be just what he needs.
  10. So for days all we read on this board is how bad Vaughn is. How he shouldn't be in the line up. One that stated he needed to work on his game in Glendale. He is hurt and doesn't play, and now the guy is a wuss or the White Sox don't want to win. The pharmaceutical companies must be making a fortune off Soxtalk members.
  11. Hendriks has a gimpy ankle or leg..
  12. The other thing I wonder is if Trump won the election, would the vaccine still be a terrible thing and an infringement on the rights of these people? Would the left be the nutty ones and do what these people are currently doing? At some point, you have to put your politics aside.
  13. I can't believe they let Gonzalez wear Yolmer's #5.
  14. You are the one who is mad watching White Sox baseball. I don't understand why people spend so much time with optional things they apparently can't stand.
  15. The 2005 White Sox lost the season series vs. Boston and LA.
  16. Because basing how they will play in October on how they are playing now is silly. They are basically playing glorified Spring Training games presently Are they able to "flip the switch" on Opening Day? The goal is to get the team as healthy as possible and take their chances.
  17. It is a fact. This team hasn't had it's full line up all year. Whether they ever will is a pretty good question, but if they do, it's a different team than they are currently fielding, but keep being miserable. It's a lot better than being happy. Even their 3 top starters are out right now. As long as everyone is healthy. this team is stacked. And the flip the switch narrative is wrong as well. It infers some sort of effort issue. Teams go from hot streaks to cold streaks back to hot streaks all the time. So apparently flipping a switch is pretty common.
  18. It is a weird thread, but he's still very young and has a ton of talent. He'll figure something out. If Seattle wanted to trade him, I'm sure the Sox would love to have him.
  19. If the Sox won last night, this thread wouldn't have existed. Everyone can blame DK because he wasn't very good, and hasn't been good, but the fact is, their line up is missing several pieces. Kuechel would have had to have thrown a shutout to win last night. Once the bats get healthy, everything will fall into place. You won't have to worry about Kuechel, he won't be in the playoff rotation.
  20. No way. It's clear they are just above .500 because of a total lack of effort and intensity. It has nothing to do with missing key players. They are screwed. They will be lucky to even be in a game after the 5th inning in the playoffs .
  21. Yes. If the choice is a skeleton crew with homefield vs. a full roster without, I'd take the extra road game every time.
  22. Yes a face. But a knee is almost impossible. It has to be in Oakland because it is the only place without a railing, and it has to be someone prone to weird injuries.
  23. I can at least understand some anti-vaxxers , afte rall, I have never had a flu shot, one because I am petrified of needles, but mostly because I have seen too many people get a terrible flu shortly after getting the shot, but I don't understand their inconsistency. If the vaccine is bad, so bad, unproven....why was hydroxychloriquin perfect, and horse dewormer an excellent choice? It would be interesting to see who actually loaded up on stock with these things right before they became the drugs of choice.
  24. Jimmy looked really good last night. Also, I am pretty sure Eloy is the only player who could take a direct shot to the knee while sitting in the dugout.
  25. No bit. Read game threads when the Sox are losing. My take is optimistic compared to many.
