9/16 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 1:10pm
He's thrown the most innings he has since 2016, and has thrown well over half the innings he has pitched the previous 4 seasons combined, and they are getting stellar production from him. Whether this means he will be a full go at playoff time, or they can only have him for 1 start per playoff series if that, who knows but the White Sox? But I agree, they are doing the right thing.

Eddie Jackson went from so good to so bad so fast. I often think he thinks he's playing flag football.

Tepera on 10 day IL; Fry recalled
Yes. He looked good. 3 outings he has looked good for an inning. Just the first one, he got hammered in inning 2 or his ERA would be 0.00, and he'd be k-ing around a batter an inning. Not bad for a guy who can't keep a roster spot.

Tepera on 10 day IL; Fry recalled
When he was up before, he didn't look so bad except his first outing when he went in for his second inning.

Gio back, Collins up, Mendick and Seby down
What is interesting is Romy is now apparently ahead of Mendick with the White Sox people who decide such things.

Gio back, Collins up, Mendick and Seby down
The Seby 4-4 , 3 HR game might be the biggest outlier game in MLB history. What are the odds? He's a .146 hitter without that game on the season, under .140 for the career. with a k-rate approaching 50%. He is basically a pitcher hitting.

COVID Thread Part Deux
A woman who made anti-vaxx videos, and bragged that she has never worn a mask and called police on those trying to make her wear one, got Covid and was hospitalized. She wanted to be treated with horse dewormer. She won't be making any more videos or calling the police.

The Sox were thought to be the team that was going to sign Soto at one time but the Nats came in at the end.

If Father Time is finally catching up to Aaron Rodgers, this division is going to make past versions of the NFC East look like juggernauts.

2021 NFL Season Thread
I'm between 300 and 400 on the Bears season ticket waiting list. Looks like next year is a lock. Pace needs to go. Nagy needs to go. The McCaskeys need to go. Ted Phillips needs to go. This team is awful. I didn't expect them to beat the Rams, especially in LA, but that defense is horrible. They might be the only team who can downgrade an offensive line that had Leno Jr. and Massie as its starting tackles. I know, injuries. They draft a guy who is only available because he has a bad back. He has back surgery. Shocking.

He was great as a rookie. Now he couldn't tackle anyone in a Pee Wee game. What a waste of money.

GT 9/12: Red Sox @ White Sox
So you really think the Cubs would have traded Bryant to the White Sox? RH admitted he had to pay a White Sox tax on Kimbrel. Bryant is more beloved.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Exactly. He gets overexposed, but he is quite valuable with his versatility and speed, and his teammates love him. Great guy to have on the bench.

That’s the whole thing. It wasn’t real. Sure the Sox might have inquired and thrown some names at them, but it wasn’t going to happen.

GT 9/12: Red Sox @ White Sox
All that matters at this point is how Kimbrel or Krimble as Ozzie calls him, does in the playoffs. If he helps them win, the cost was high but a case will be made it was worth it. If he doesn’t, it was a bad trade. I think he has shown enough that no one is going to trade the Sox something useful and pay him $16 million, and I don’t think the Sox will pay a set up man that amount.

Lynn looks great but he is limping.

Vaughn's legs are bothering him
So people complain he shouldn’t bat where he bats in the line up, say he cannot hit with RISP, then b**** when he isn’t sent up to hit with RISP. Makes a lot of sense. Give him a break. I do not like Tony LaRussa the human being or manager, but he made the right move keeping him in the dugout.
-
Vaughn's legs are bothering him
His legs are probably sore, but the most likely scenario with what is going on with him is he likely has hit a wall. Most players have at least a couple of full minor league seasons under their belts when they get to this level, he has none. A little mental and physical break could be just what he needs.
-
Vaughn's legs are bothering him
So for days all we read on this board is how bad Vaughn is. How he shouldn't be in the line up. One that stated he needed to work on his game in Glendale. He is hurt and doesn't play, and now the guy is a wuss or the White Sox don't want to win. The pharmaceutical companies must be making a fortune off Soxtalk members.

COVID Thread Part Deux
The other thing I wonder is if Trump won the election, would the vaccine still be a terrible thing and an infringement on the rights of these people? Would the left be the nutty ones and do what these people are currently doing? At some point, you have to put your politics aside.

Can this team just flip the switch come Oct 7?
You are the one who is mad watching White Sox baseball. I don't understand why people spend so much time with optional things they apparently can't stand.

The 2005 White Sox lost the season series vs. Boston and LA.
