Complain about Kimbrel here:
I personally think they really never had any intention of keeping Kimbrel next year, so it might be awkward with Hendriks to make Kimbrel the closer, and then go back to Hendriks next year after he really didn’t lose the job. But at this point, the Sox need to win some games and have Hendriks unavailable and see what happens with Kimbrel in the 9th. If it is more of what has been going on, then th 8th vs. 9th is BS. If he is mowing them down, start giving Hendriks some 8ths and see what happens.

White Sox at Blue Jays Gamethread, Lynn vs. Manoah, 6:07pm CDT
How many White Sox seasons has everyone on this board witnessed where the Sox played great 162 times? The reason they lost tonight was because they scored 1 run. They didn’t score 1 run because they were half assing it. Most of these games have been real close, they just haven’t been getting the big hit.

The fact is Kimbrel could come in with the bases loaded and no one out, strike out the side on 9 pitches, and you would say the hitters bailed him out. It’s like Harold with Madrigal, you can’t be objective.

The only hit the first 5 in Toronto’s line up had tonight was the 3-0 hit Val JR. had.

Kimbrel has a 5.59 ERA in the 8th and a 0,00 ERA in the 9th this year.

Because baseball is a marathon and there are peaks and valleys. In a week or so, they will be hot again.

I think Kimbrel is snakebit. His gave up a soft hit. Struck out 2 including Bichette twice on WP, so his stuff must be fine. That last WP was crazy wild, it was a Little League run.

Hawk ragged on Jerry Manuel for 10 years when he told a pitcher not to give Jim Thome anything to hit instead of just putting him on. Thome homered and won the game.

I’m not a Seby fan, but any catcher blocking the pitch that scored the run would just be lucky. That was crazy wild.

If he was awake, they wouldn’t have had to throw a ball to him.

Why mess with Lynn’s pitch count? Just put him on without throwing a pitch.

No. All Tony has to do is tell the umpire to put him on first.

NFL 2021 offseason thread
I think even if Fiekds plays early and plays well, the Bears are really going to suck this season. Any chance that costs Pace and Nagy? You would think the Bears job would be very appealing if they had a nice QB on the roster.

The Grandal will come out tomorrow, you can bet your bottom dollar
They didn't do a bad job. Some Soxtalk favorites would have been disasters. Brock Holt, Tommy Lastella. People wanted Heyward to play RF. Those guys weren't any better than Soxtalk whipping targets. RH did a far better job GMing the team this past offseason than any of us would have done.

Considering all the players that have contributed, I think they did a good job with the depth from the position player standpoint. You aren't going to have all stars 5 players deep in Charlotte.

Sox fan shot and killed on Xpressway coming from game.
Lack of arrests are an issue. Less than 45% of murders in Chicago are solved, so you have a better chance of getting away with it than paying for your crime.
