There is zero chance GarPax would have ever moved on from Wendell Carter Jr. in this deal. It would have taken a top 5 player in the league. Their firing is already paying off.

ELOY HURT! (3/25 Update: Torn Pectoral Tendon, Out 5-6 months))
It is going to be tough for Hahn to fill this with a player of significance quickly, even if JR is kidnapped and money will be thrown at the problem. Hope springs eternal, and there aren't many worse looks than a salary dump right before the season starts. They can probably get a mediocre guy pretty easily, but if they want to offset Eloy's production within any reasonable level, it's going to be hard.

ELOY HURT! (3/25 Update: Torn Pectoral Tendon, Out 5-6 months))
Bring back Jose Canseco. He actually was pretty good as a Frank Thomas replacement in 2001. He's probably still juicing, so he can probably still hit.

With Added Capacity Coming, Should We Expect an Increase in Payroll?
City is allowing 22% now, up from 20%.

Good Bears news. Dick Stockton is retiring. We will never have to listen to him butcher a Bears game again.

JR being incapacitated.

ELOY HURT! (3/25 Update: Torn Pectoral Tendon, Out 5-6 months))
Some of LaRussa's LF with the Sox include Ralph Garr, Ron Kittle and Tom Paciorek, and of course Carlton Fisk. Throw Eloy with those guys, isn't it at least even money Vaughn can give you what they gave you defensively in LF?

ELOY HURT! (3/25 Update: Torn Pectoral Tendon, Out 5-6 months))
I have never seen anyone tear their pec hanging over the fence. Normally, that would classify it a fluke injury. But I don't think there is a fluke injury for Eloy.

Hopefully Otto Porter can make his way to his physical without getting hurt.

ELOY HURT! (3/25 Update: Torn Pectoral Tendon, Out 5-6 months))
Maybe it won't be that bad. If you remember 2005, Buehrle supposedly broke his foot, and was going to miss a lot of time. He wound up starting on Opening Day.

This is the first time I have ever seen an injury like this on a play like that. Only Eloy.

i just can't see paying him a ton of money. When he's healthy, he's a really nice player, but I don't think a winning one.

They can't trade their 2022 pick. If they had to give up a first rounded, it would have to be 2025 at the earliest.

Coby isn't a point guard. I still think he can be a bigger Ben Gordon. I never understood the Wendell Carter love anyone had. I know he was very young when drafted and obviously still is, he just seems like he is what he is to me.

Backup Catcher (update 3/29 - Lucroy won't make team, asked for release)
If Lucroy makes the roster and Collins is sent down, they either need to trade Collins or have him change positions. There is nothing more he could have done to make the team. If they choose a replacement level at best vet over him, it's time to move on, either from behind the plate or the organization.

8-15 with Lauri in the line up. 9-11 when he's hurt. He's a good player, but he doesn't fit. Of course most, if not all of the current roster will be gone the next time the Bulls are a serious basketball team.

I disagree. The guy doesn't know his personnel. At some point, you pound your fist, say we need an OL a lot more than we need Robert Quinn. He was hired in large part because he really liked Mitch. Maybe Mitch was going to suck no matter what. But he never wavered until this year and he is the reason Foles is on the roster. Foles was a waste of not just money, but a draft pick as well. His offense is not good. Seems like a nice guy, but IMO, the guy is an assistant coach. A guy who really knew what he was doing would make it clear to Ryan Pace he isn't the smartest guy in the room. It is really appalling George McCaskey is wasting another year with these clowns.

The problem is Nagy isn't going to be able to develop a lower round QB. But they should take one. Maybe the next guy can.

Absolutely. I am also with you thinking something seems a little off about this one. If he did assault all these women, lock him up. But a few BSers will take the whole thing down. I also don't want to be that guy that thinks women in massage parlors can't get assualted, because obviously they can. And obviously not everyone working in one is working their dream job, many are there against their own will.

They all supposedly met him through Instagram, so there is reason to believe none are immigrants working in massage parlors, making money giving handys.

I am all for listening to victims, but these Watson lawsuits seem like quite the pile on. Now there are 16. No one came forward, now 16. Just doesn't seem realistic to me. Probably the saddest thing is if a couple of these are true, if there are several that are all BS, it will make the true ones look like BS.

Pritzker: 60% capacity is close
At restaurants, fully vaccinated people don't count towards the capacity percentage. I wonder if this will be true for stadiums. Although it would be pretty hard to enforce and determine what you would have available. On a personal note, I will have had my 2 shots with a week in before my first game. By the second homestand, I should be a max coverage. That makes me very happy.

What a magical year - 2005 Chicago White Sox
Won on opening day 1-0. Won the first game back from the All Star break 1-0. Clinched the WS with a 1-0 win. What are the odds?

I read where the Bulls were offering Sato and a 2nd round pick. That won't get it done.
