The White Sox have been beneficiaries of "cheating". Josh Paul didn't muff the strikeout to AJP in the ALCS in 2005. And Jermaine Dye wasn't HBP to load the bases for Paulie in the 2005 WS. It's whatever you can get away with, unless you are playing golf.

The Sox have played 20 consecutive days. They wanted to get the game in, so they could enjoy a full off day today. And the delay was barely longer than most half innings. He didn't have it. It doesn't matter. None of these games matter. Hopefully he gets his arm conditioned for the extra time next year, and hopefully they will need it. Personally, I don't think the kid is a 200 inning pitcher yet, and think it will be a while before he is.

Yes. I have no doubt if the White Sox were in playoff contention, Eloy would have been up. But the stars aligned to do what they are doing. That's why I have always said every team in their position would do what they are doing.
