2018-2019 Official NBA thread

It really does make sense. Especially considering the max guys don't take forever to sign. -
Deplorables was a term giving them way too much credit.

She played the victim quite well. Couldn't wait to tell everyone. Had her boss put the place down as a pig sty yet all he claimed it to be was, once again, false. The guy that cries fake news, fake news more than anyone says more fake things than everyone.

That signing was always curious to me. I think it is the thing that scares me most about this "rebuild." They seem to think they can make stars out of guys who can't be stars. I know $8 million a year isn't star money, but it's certainly a great wage for the Felicio family, and seems to imply they were going to make him better than he could be. Then reality hit. It seems most guys in the NBA don't improve all that much after they have been around for a couple years. Even if they are still like 22 years old. -

I don't think they are signing anyone this year, at least that is what Friedell thought. At least not a max guy unless Lebron gave them a call. Maybe next year, but anyone hanging their hopes on the Bulls signing a max guy hasn't been paying attention. And they seem to have soured on LeVine. He was a stud with a shredded knee when they acquired him, and now not much after easing his way into 24 games. Yet Chandler Hutchinson was on their radar when he was coming off the bench for Boise State, stinking up the place as a sophomore. If LeVine isn't what they claimed he was during his rehab, their trade of Butler leaves a lot to be desired.. Now they want to sneak into the playoffs like they did when they gave DWade a boatload of money. It seems clownish most of the time when people rail on management about being all about money, especially teams like the Bulls who print money, but it does seem the Bulls are scared a few years of losing now will destroy their bottom line and kill some sponsorships. -

LAL have space for 2 max guys, the Bulls have space for 2 max guys. Where will the max players go? Sorry GarPax, you get the Carlos Boozer/Ron Mercer consolation prize. We have seen it so many times, I don't know how anyone can really expect anything else. Cap space has meant nothing to the Bulls. -

I'll believe the Bulls will sign 1 max guy, let alone 2, when they actually do it. I think the White Sox have a better shot of signing Machado and Harper this offseason than that happening. -

Yes, I don't know if he can coach at the NBA level or not, but they haven't really provided him with much of a chance to find out. -

I was watching Nick Friedell yesterday. He claims Pax wants to make the playoffs this year, which would be at best a 7 or 8 seed, and if they are not at least close to making them, Hoiberg may get canned. So the goal is NBA hell, unless someone like Lebron falls into their lap, which is never going to happen. The other thing that was beyond bizarre, is Hutchinson's claim the Bulls were all over him since he was a sophomore, back when he was averaging 6 pts a game and hitting 23% of his 3s in an average at best conference. Nothing like locking in. I guess Boise State's coach and Hoiberg are buddies. Will Boise State be the new Iowa State for the Bulls? -
Why do you think Trump is going to make you rich? Unless you already are, he isn’t going to help you. Sure you got a slight tax cut, put you will more than pay for it eventually.
-
Trump in a fundraising letter is now calling dems bullies., using this as one example. Just another time he accuse s others of exactly what he does.
-
I get the whole argument, but an argument could be made Teump has lived his entire life doing this with no consequences. What he and his people do is bully. What deters bullies is fighting back. I understand it isn’t a great look, and understand it sort of normalizes the behavior, but the behavior with complete surrender has also been normalized. i wouldn’t have refused her service, but can understand why she was.

I'm not saying messing with her food is OK. I think it's disgusting and should be considered, if it is not, a crime. But I would bet it's happened. It's happened to a lot of people. Probably most of us at least once.

But it's been mentioned before the TV money bubble is about to burst. Whether that is true or not, we will find out probably pretty soon. And to me, it's harder to develop a baseball nut on TV alone. Even if you go to one or two games a year, when you're a kid, you live for that. Never going, IMO, would lose a lot of would be fanatics. Time also matters like you mentioned. Especially when teams are bad. The only reason I would ever leave a game before it ended was rain delays. Other than that, I had never left before the end, except maybe once or twice because it was 13 innings or something, and I had to be somewhere else. The last couple of years , that has changed. I am not going to sit there 3 and a half hours when the Sox are losing 10-2.

Race for the worst 2018 record (Top 5 pick) again

They had a couple of years in that time period they were pretty good. But they made bad signings and bad trades, and developed about no one. You don't have to have the strongest farm system in the world, you can get by being mediocre if you can do the other things decently. I admit, they have to develop someone, which was a total failure position player wise. And they went from signing Dye types to Erstad types. The White Sox wont the WS not because they developed a ton of players. They had a few and signed Iguchi, AJP, Dye that offseason. Rare you go 3 for 3 with free agents. Got Jenks on waivers, made a great trade for Contreras and where lucky Freddy Garcia was so close to Ozzie Guillen. 2005 line up position players developed by the White Sox c-nope 1b-nope 2b-nope ss-nope 3B-yes LF-nope CF-yes RF-nope DH-for the most part, nope rotation-yes, nope, nope, yes, nope Bullpen-mostly nope -

The fact is, their system at the time wasn't as stack as reported. Again, not exactly perennial All Stars. Maggs was, but he was so highly thought of, the White Sox exposed him to the rule 5 draft, and everyone passed. -
Every game is on TV in HD. Games can be expensive to attend. A lot of tanking not only affects the team you follow, but do you really want to see them play a horrible team? For instance, I have a "weekend plan". I put that in quotes because it used to mean I had tickets to every Saturday and Sunday game. Now it's a 20 game plan that has Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. It used to be 27 games, now it's 20. I just looked. I have 3 games in July and 3 in August. 4 of the 6 games, the opponent is the Royals. It's bad enough I have to watch one tanking team, but to watch what basically will be a spring training game neither team really cares if it wins in July and August of a major league season is pitiful. If you are living in NY and a Yankee fan, do you want to pay NY prices to watch them play the White Sox? I wouldn't. It's not just baseball. The NFL is having a problem not only with ratings, but people attending games. High prices and fantasy football are to blame. People would rather spend their money in a bar watching 5 games at once.

Trump attacking Jimmy Fallon of all people. Said Jimmy called him and said "monster ratings" when he appeared on his show. Jimmy says he doesn't have his number, doesn't want his number, and has never called him. And mentioned since he had Trump on the show, his ratings have plummeted. More Trump lies. Gets some balls republicans, and stand up to all this nonsense. I'm not sticking up for Jimmy per se, but for the love of God, this has to stop.

Red Hen hasn’t had any serious health code violations despite’s Trump’s claim of it being filthy. Mar a lago on the other hand, several serious health code violations.

Saunders is already gone. That should narrow it down. This is where Trayce belonged in the first place. Hopefully he can turn it around. He sucks, but he looks good doing it. -
I wouldn't think poison, but spit on it, put some snot in it. Put the cheese in your underwear for a bit...stuff like that. If she dines out a lot, I would bet she's had her food messed with.

Maybe in a couple years Sarah will come out as gay and it will all be OK.

Greg, if OJ Simpson walked into a restaurant in Kansas and was refused service, would you have a problem with that? Or would you consider the town mean? SHS is not a nice person. She's shown her true colors. She couldn't wait to post what happened to her on twitter because she knew her followers would eat it all up. You also have to consider there probably is a good chance this restaurant employs or has employed many immigrants. Her policy against these people is well known. Frankly, if I was her, I wouldn't dare eat at a restaurant. I would think odds are heightened that her cheese board was a bit "tainted" if you know what I mean.

The most hysterical thing about it was it was a segment how the left is ranting about Trump supporters being racist. This guy helped make the point.
