QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2015 -> 04:31 PM) Got him for Straily and a waiver claim in Valbuena Ah I see. I thought it was like Montero and more of a salary dump for Colorado. That was a horrendous trade by Beane.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 28, 2015 -> 04:11 PM) O's have left Steve Clevenger while the Cubs have Arrieta and Strop. A's have neither Samardzija nor Hammel while the Cubs have Hammel, Russell, Fowler, and McKinney lolol. Amazing trades from the Cubs. Fowler has nothing to do with those moves but point well taken.

Gordon should play third, Bonifacio second and LaRoche first. Alexi is the epitome of what has gone wrong with this team since his arrival. Flairs of greatness but more showings of stupidity. Sad that Robertson is not available.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 28, 2015 -> 10:49 AM) Paul Sullivan @PWSullivan 27m27 minutes ago Ventura says Avi wont start either game and Robertson probably wont be used. Why would he say this before the game? What benefit is there to this? Isn't this what he guy from the Reds went bat s*** crazy over earlier this season?

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 27, 2015 -> 09:49 PM) I have no idea how Toronto can allow the goal to stick. Shot coming just as it approaches Crawford a Duck skates by and shoulders his glove as puck whizzes past Crawford on the glove side. That was amazing that that stood. Say what you want about Shaw but he is making a difference in this series. Bickell is going to set this franchise back 3 years. -

Bullpen coming back down to the earth. With this offense, there will not be many games won. -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 27, 2015 -> 02:14 PM) Sox making a last place team look good again in a series. Toronto has no pitching. The White Sox hitting is off the charts bad and thus makes every team look good. -

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 27, 2015 -> 12:44 PM) Coleman is in charge of making sure players don't get attacked by the tarp rollers. If you think about it, he's done a stellar job so far. OSHA outlawed them in 1993 don't tell the White Sox though Chuck Zwerski (sp) is in the booth......without Stacy King he sounds very dull i guess he could grow on you though. -

Imagine how bad it would be if Vince Coleman was not on the payroll. Seriously what and the hell is he getting paid for? I remember watching opening day and Hawk pining about how great the base running was going to be this year. That was back when Hawk thought the team was going to be good -

How in the world do you get picked off there...unless he thought the ball was going to get by the catcher. He was not swinging so he should have been going back to the base anyway. Instead of 3-2 and the runners going...inning over..... That is just bad baseball from your so called leader. This team makes it really hard to root for. -

I know this is not the environment for this but Len Kasper was talking on the SCORE yesterday about how the cubs are focusing on taking pitches and would rather a hitter strike out on a borderline pitch than swing at a pitch two feet out of the strike zone. I thought this was what Todd was to bring to the organization, some sort of philosophy? It is working for the cubs, the WHite Sox have nothing working for them in regard to organizational philosophy as it pertains to hitting or defense. -

White Sox look like a team that is 35 games out in September and just hoping to close out the schedule. -

I am not really certain how the salary cap works but is there a chance that after this season Bickell spends the remaining yeas of his contract in Rockford? He really brings nothing to this team beside an occasional hit. -
Thought 3-8 that may be to optomistic.
-
This team is a f***ing travesty to baseball.
-
5-6 is the best they can do. Most likely 4-7 3-8 the metrices have a negative WAR hitting team. This team is epically bad.
-
At least no Hawk bulls*** about how this guy has never looked this good. Pitchers know they need not have good stuff they just need to throw close to the zone and sox will get themselves out.

QUOTE (GreenSox @ May 24, 2015 -> 03:22 PM) Q and Sale should be split in the rotation- I don't know why they aren't. And I know it's not Carroll's fault, but none of the guys in Charlotte are better than him? The problem with this org in trading is that they refuse to sell high. They got a gift last year with the 32 yo SS off of a near career year and they refused to pull the trigger. White sox and bulls seem eerily simlar n this regard. The constant being...

Twins may score more today the sox scored on entire homestand....only semi green.

QUOTE (flavum @ May 24, 2015 -> 03:07 PM) They'll go 8-3 on the road trip because it makes no sense. 3-8 .....5-6 if everything goes right. At this time they should be listening to offers on everybody. 68k showed up to witness this s*** show. I was there tuesday thursday friday....they duped me again.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 24, 2015 -> 02:48 PM) It's a strange situation, as almost all of Hahn's moves have made sense on paper. For one reason or another, a lot of them haven't worked out so far. The most logical explanation is the players just have underachieved significantly to their ability. To me, the following moves were good and made sense, regardless of what the production has been: - Eaton trade - Reed trade - Abreu signing - Melky signing - Samardzija deal - Robertson deal - Boni/Beckham deal The organizational philosophy and preparedness seems to the thing that I keep coming back to. Those moves appeared to make sense in a singular situation but in totality major fundamental flaws most notably defense and obp were not improved with these moves. The one player who could improve th defense is now just a DH. Garcia is good but no obp or defense. Alexi ramirez is the epitome of white sox baseball. Worthwhile at one moment....god awful the next.

I iust hope they sell early to get a jump on the rest of those that are out of it.

Those two days at .500 were magical.
