Wow is this team dumb. Holland did not get a breaking ball over and yet they gotta swing away. -

Sale is worth the price of admission. -
The key for me, had to get on for work, is to limit he friends to those you actually have interest in and delete/hide those others that annoy you rather quickly.

Season 3 of the Wire is really good.

Grabbed the Galaxy Rugby and III Active. Got I hate learning new technology. I loved US Cellular service lets see what this AT&T company is all about.

The Pirates could use a Jake Peavy. The Sox need to throw some cash at the Pirates. Give them any hitting they want and pay all of the salary associated with it.

Really is sad how bribes and politics seem as worse now as ever. -
Tired of players that have no natural talent coming into a system that does not develop them.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 04:56 PM) This thread is funny. It's ridiculous that some of you guys were told at a young age that you have to hate the Cubs just because that it is seriously flawing your judgment here. I am a lifelong Sox fan and I know that if the Sox had Bryant, Almora, Baez, and Soler people on this board would be doing cartwheels. They are 4 of the top 30 prospects in baseball. But nah they are on that evil northside team that my parents told me to hate when I was younger. They can't be any good. It is not about hating the cubs farm system. The argument is that the cubs are in better position because they have great 20 year old talent with no pitching prospects while the White Sox appear to have a nice young MLB producing rotation. Minor league rankings mean absolutly nothing by the way.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 04:44 PM) The idea of a rotating DH has actually intrigued me. It allows you to play matchups better, get guys rest while keeping guys active, keeps everyone fresh in the field, and whatever other advantages you have. I do actually believe this is for real too because he was a good hitter all his life. Let Phegley, Flowers, and a lefty who can catch and play other positions (someone like Ryan Doumit, but not Ryan Doumit, because he's a terrible catcher) be the primary catchers. Then you can use 2 catchers in your lineup and still have an emergency catcher on the bench. Tyler flowers can not hit enough for that to make sense.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 03:07 PM) (Do they? I haven't been impressed by what I've seen at the upper levels of their farm system. I'd go so far as to say they have nice lower-levels in their farm system). Farm system rankings are not worth the paper phil rogers writes them on. They have impressive younger guys but they always seem to have impressive younger guys that never make it to Clark and Addison in the same light they did in Peoria or Iowa. It is harder to get MLB caliber pitching than it is hitting that is the upper hand the Sox have over ht cubs. The fact Rizzo and Castro now suck is not helping the cause either. I love that Soriano is helping them win games and could cost them a slot or two in the standings. Same with Garza if he is not resigned or traded.
-
QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 11:48 AM) You don't really believe that, do you? This team is gonna suck really hard for a very long time. Good thing we got the Blackhawks, Bears, Bulls, etc. The White Sox have an MLB rotation. The cubs have a nice farm system.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 02:39 PM) Dude stop. You act like Robin and the entire front office haven't done their diligence when it comes to using Sale. Allowing him to throw 120+ is a COLLECTIVE decision. They've ALL decided it's ok and they all are familiar with the Dusty Baker argument. It's a very very very SIMPLE argument to make and takes no insight to make. None. Everyone is aware of that line of thinking. Dusty has a .526 winning percentage and has won over 1,600 baseball games. I don't really like him but that is pretty impressive. -

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 02:34 PM) Nice to see RV still has Sale in there over 120 pitches. Stupid and completely pointless. He's done an awful job managing our pitching staff. The comparisons some have made to Dusty Baker are extremely appropriate. Maybe it has something to do with MLB position players that are not catchers and the way they approached the game? -

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 03:30 PM) It's amazing the number of medical professionals that we have on this board that are privy to his medical condition. Holiday Inn Express flashes across the scroll quite often in the adds above. Many folks most click and use it for their overnight stays. -
Didn't Santiago pitch out of the bullpen all spring training? This was a pretty flawed approach as he was never stretched out, especially when it was obvious Danks would not be ready.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 04:08 PM) It really would have to be a package that's too good to turn down (ie: Profar, Perez and Martin or Taveras, Martinez, Wong, Rosenthal). Neither team would do something like that though. Texas might, they have the $$$ to cover up the lack of prospects. You need a future #1 in the deal plus another A player.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 01:41 PM) Except for being in the same division with the best organization in baseball right now, as well as the Reds and the Pirates on the rise and having the same number of prospects, but many of them on the pitching side. Maybe you can finish ahead of the Brewers, but that's kind of a given without Braun and with Gallardo probably being traded. Guy running the Reds helped build the Cardinals into what they are. Pirates look like they could really be something. Imagine if Appel was lurking in their system, yikes. The NL Central is quietly turning into something good.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 01:42 PM) Okay, that didn't make sense paired with Juan Uribe, and talking about "scrap heap." Matt Thorton was a scrap heap pick-up and would also fit the bill for scrap heap major league ready talent.
