and the Sox now have 2 hits in the last 7 innings.....wonderful man is this team frustrating to watch......
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2009 -> 09:12 PM) PK pulled off that meatball so badly. Execution continues to be just disgusting. Yep. Why they give away outs to move a guy up is frustrating as hell as the execution is not there especially late in the game.
-
They have never seen this guy before.......that usually is not a good thing as the Sox do not have advanced scouts.

QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 26, 2009 -> 09:06 PM) paulie needs to pick up his triple right here I'll take another walk

QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 26, 2009 -> 09:00 PM) i highly doubt someone is going to give us anything worthy for colon Houston, Milwaukee and St. Louis could all use him.
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 26, 2009 -> 08:54 PM) And they really need another lefty there. It is going to depend on how Guillen uses him. If he uses him like Poreda it is a waste. He neeeds consistent work. I think Colon gets traded for something decent.

This isn't going to end well. Richard needs to find some zip in his fastball...
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2009 -> 08:46 PM) Ozzie might want to get Pena up in the bullpen, as this could be a tough inning for Richard. I like Dotel in the big park.
-
Sox offense is what will cost them this game but the bullpen will again get the blame. They simply can not put teams away and hit bullpen pitching. A team is always in the game.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2009 -> 08:41 PM) He's not even close to getting hits. His swing is totally f'd up right now. He was that way before the injury as well.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2009 -> 08:38 PM) Everyone's trying to pad their home run stats it seems. I still want to know how many hits Dye has to right this season. Beckham and Konerko really are the only players that appear to adjust to a situation.
-
Couple of runs would be nifty. Sox have three good AL number 5's all of which are better than most NL #3's.
-
Nice 6 pitch inning for Porcello. White Sox hitters seem to be done for the night. Clayton better not let up....as the pen is going to have do their job again.
-
How many pitches did Richard throw his last time out...I am think over 110. He needs to be more economical. I guess that may come with experience.
-
as long as he does not alter his stroke to lift the ball at the Cell he will be all set for next 15 years...if Quentin could stay healthy they could be the right handed version of Moreanu/Mauer.
-
While out of town the last four days all I had to say to the people I was with was that the pen is down but the hitting needs to be better. This team needs to score to win. 4 runs are better than the Toronto Texas days but they need to but a hurt on a team and keep it up for all 9 innings.
-
Sox have not scored more than 4 runs in their last nine games.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 22, 2009 -> 08:56 AM) I cannot for the life of me fathom why some fools still think Tyrus is the man/going to be the man. They are the same poeple that would never dream of trading Deng. -
QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 22, 2009 -> 11:40 AM) They really ARE becoming the IceCubs!! I have been saying this since the red carpet.

QUOTE (GO CHI SOX! @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 11:49 PM) Well I dont have an answer for getting into a jam last night, but he did pitch 28 pitches last night and another 20 tonight. He just ran out of gas. I wanna give him a day or 2 off and see what happens then. Right now im not panicking but I am worried slightly. BINGO, he faced 6 or 7 hitters I am guessing 35 pitches on Saturday and another 28 Monday, after last night that is between 75-80 pitches in three days. last night should have been Dotel/Thorton in the 9th. Dotel has to be traded as they are not using him any longer for some reason.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 04:21 PM) I love Beckham batting behind Getz though. Do you think AJP or CQ would have a chance in hell on scoring on a Beckham double? Also, this gives Ozzie's some options with a hit-and-run, etc. I wished I typed faster. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 03:57 PM) Switch Getz and Beckham and that is our best lineup ALL season. Getz and Beckham can be a hit and run machine!!! -
Phils left handed power could eat Harden up.

Some things we know for sure. The defense will be shaky The Sox will not score after the sixth The bullpen will put two men on every inning they are allowed to pitch The Rays are turning into a Boston/NY in that they are taking a ton of pitches and making the pitcher work. If Richard isn't throwing first pitcx strike he is going to get destroyed. Go Sox. -
Coming from a big Brian Anderson fan, I have no problem with this move.
