  1. I am really starting ot dislike this team due to OC, Swisher and Konerko. The pitching is making it even harder as they will proceed to get lit up in beautiful Kauffman stadium.
  2. White Sox pitchers are afraid of the Twins hitters that is about all I can think of.
  3. Fields should not be playing in a game with a four run lead either I do not care what inning it is. The advance scouting of this team is horrendous to nonexistent.
  4. I am sorry but White Sox pitchers need to avoid the huge inning. Thought it was 5-4.
  5. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:42 PM) Hawk is in love with Carlos Gomez. I had to mute the tv. The guy is hitting .350 against the Sox and under .250 against every other team. Something is wrong as he and Esteban German should not give the Sox the fits they do.
  6. They need almost play scary close for Gomez at third and take that away.
  7. Hawk really loves Konerko, Swisher and Thome and will finish in last with those guys rather than make a move. That was why he was a horses*** GM. Anyone recall June of 2005 when Crede was a better player than A Rod.
  8. The Red Sox paying his whole salary and the Dodgers giving nothign up is huge for them. The Dodgers have sixty million doller defenseless outfield in Manny, Pierre and Jones.
  9. Is Griffey in center any worse than Bernie Williams final days. The thing is that Griffey may have lost a step but he still should be able judge and move on a ball better than swisher. If you listen to some folks you would think the Sox were going to be moving Dye to center.
  10. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) No I mean released, he has no value whatsoever. From Rotoworld; Well now I know it is BS. Jessie Rogers sourcesare about as good as mine. I miss Steff on days like today.
  11. This Murph fellow really hurts my ears. This move is low risk high reward all of the way. Richar was without a position at AAA where was he going to play next year. Massett was a DFA waiting to happen. If Griffey blows out his knee getting off he plane what is the big deal. Herm'll work his magic there is a nice rotation of vets everyone plays cards in the clubhouse.... Imagine the story if Thome and Griffey finally get their rings......Joe Buck just wet himself. Also per ESPN the Sox are paying half of the remaining salary and half of the buyout.
  12. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 12:46 PM) I was just in the car for 10 minutes getting lunch and Murph talked about Lannan 3 times with Rogers Sorry I ran out to get lunch and forgot I had done this while eating and typing. My head hurts I gotta get some work that pays done. Please disregard me.
  13. Have been listening ot the Score and have not heard anything. Although Murph thinks Theriot could hit .400
  14. What purpose does this serve? Halladay keeps poping back into my head.
  15. Alexi Casilla is most likely out for the year, per Stone. Wow
  16. Could OC and Konerko be moving to the LAD for the prospects that can get Halladay or Roberts?
  17. Why wouldn't teams that need offense make this move like Tampa?
  18. Must be a pitcher involved, has to be. Neither of those guys are insignificant. Reds guy on the SCORE right now. Saying Griffey not really accepted in Cincinnati, EVER! Griffey to make a decision by 11:00. Says Griffey not an option in CF and is showing he is 38 years old, although the adrenaline and pennant could energize him. No the guy blasts Dusty, wow.
  19. Scotty Bowman to be announced Senior Advisor for the Blackhawks Brett Favre to the Bears Griffey to the Sox Could be a memorable day in Chicago sports lore.
  20. Fields Swisher and Floyd for Halladay?
  21. SCORE with a nice thought, Griffey had to move to RF because Dunn is so bad in left they needed a better CF, just a thought. Makes some sense to me.
  22. Until Griffey approves the trade none of the other pieces will be announced. I personally think Griffey is a bench insurance guy and the guy the Sox are looking to get is Bronson Arroyo for the pen and swing starter. I think he has a contract that is overprcied. Harang is injured isn't he? Griffey also could take Wise's spot. What I found interesting last night was in the top of the 8th Hawk was saying that he thought Wise would be an integral part to this team the remainder ofhte season. I think Konerko is going on the DL until 9/1.
  23. I do not believe that the farm system is that baron that KW can not make a trade I think it has to do with the fact that he is not going to overpay for a Brian Roberts or AJ Burnett. From the looks of it there appears to be some decent pieces down there. I never heard of Clayton Richard until a month or so ago and from what I have seen of him so far I see no reason why he could not be a servicable rotation guy. Poreda and Fields have MLB value as do a few other utility type guys I just don't think the Sox are going to gut the system for a rental.
  24. Have the Boston Red Sox just lost 4 of 5 at home I know they are good teams but these are the Sox, AT HOME? Did the Yankees just get beat pretty good by the O's twice? Tampa Bay lost 7 in a row not to long ago and sits atop the yanks and sox. The White Sox are not playing well right now but they are by no means done. A win tonight or tomorrow and they will be 3-4 at Detroit and Minnesota. I am fine with that. They need to beat he s*** out of hte Royals. After this weekend they play 16 of 19 at home and shoudl be getting some players back. I also think KW will make a move.
  25. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 10:58 AM) Sox won't deal Poreda unless they are getting something pretty special. They think very highly of Aaron. I was really impressed by Richard last night. He was twinkie'd to death but over-all I think his mound presence, control and quickness of work were impressive. Am I stupid for thinking he has more value than Poreda? Richard was a dual sport athlete until recently and while he is no Jeff Samardjia (sp?) I really liked what I saw in him.
