8/7 Sox v Tigers, 7:11, WCIU
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:52 PM) I want to see more of Wise against righty sinker ballers. He has the perfect swing for that type of pitch. Unless there is an injury I doubt you see Wise or Anderson start again this season.

Not sure whose offense is more pathetic right right the Sox or the Bears.

Freddy Garcia's "talent showcase"
QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:18 AM) It's ironic, but Young's stats really aren't that much better than Anderson's. I actually think right now that Anderson has more upside than Young. and no I would not trade Young for Vazquez and I am not that high on Vazquez right now.

8/2 Sox-Royals on FOX Saturday Game - 2:50 CT
Sox are now tied for first. And after 1.5 innings this team just up and left. Coincidentaly when Cabrerra decided he needed to make a highlite reel play on a guy slower than Konerko. After Thome and Konerko went back-to-back I thought good things were going to happen today. Why can't the Sox magically turn a game around? In the last 5 days the Sox have blown two four run leads and a three run lead.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 02:55 PM) You havin a rough day? you're awfully b****y. Can't really blame him this game turned ugly quickly. It feels like the Sox are down by 5. 9 in a row retired by Davies.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) Don't worry, we have Richard going tomorrow. I really want to know why AJP got the day off with an off day on Monday? It is about 110 degrees on the field was hot last night and will be tomorrow. How did Griffey not get that ball.

Cabrerra can not hold Uribe's jock defensively. Going to be a long day.

Nice job by the O keeping Buerhle off the field........

8/2 Sox-Royals on FOX Saturday Game - 2:50 CT
QUOTE (Karko's Throat Skin @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 02:36 PM) OC is a gold glove winner and while Uribe's arm is fantastic...he has a knack for making bone headed plays. Gold Glove means absolutely nothing. Based on what I have seen from Cabrerra this year I put him closer to Jose Valentin than Juan Uribe.

There seems to be something wrong mentally with Cabrera or is he just stupid. With how slow Butler is there was no reason to not make that play. I think I may hate him more than any player in White Sox history.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!
All I gotta say about last night's game was Juan Uribe stood on his head (hockey quote for you southern folk) at third base. There is a part of me that is really liking what I see in him as a defensive utility guy same as Anderson/Wise. My apologies to Javier for calling him a wilting flower. Pulling from another thread he gets killed when teams go the other way that was how he gave up the two runs. Carrasco made it scary and the offense was pretty sad. Dotel and Jenks looked fine. Griffey in an interview on CSN sounded like he was getting worked over (in a fun way) when he joined the team. Dye may end the career of Orlando Cabrerra one of these days with his bulls*** antics. I for one would have no problem with it.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 1, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) The two times I wore it to a game # 1 http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/wrap....me&c_id=cws Swisher hit a HR from both sides of the plate # 2 http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/wrap....me&c_id=cws Swisher hit a grand slam. So to answer your question, no. Write Nick and inform him of this situation and see if you could travel with the team. Kind of like when Iguchi had an interpreter I was only kidding by the way.

2008 Chicago Cubs Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (JFields27 @ Aug 1, 2008 -> 01:26 PM) Tallon, Bowmans, and McDonaugh of the Blackhawks are in the Cub seats today For some reason the McDounogh fawning over the cubs is getting to me. I understand that is the disposable income market they are looking for I just get the feeling that old school Sox fans are Hawk fans and old school cub fans are hillbillies that can only afford to back one team, the cubs. No reason for this line of thinking whatsoever.

I am not in the mood to see Josh Fields play. I am also hoping the wilting flower that is Javier Vazquez can look sharp. That is all.

7/31 - White Sox @ Minnesota Twins (7:10pm CSN)
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) nice play Juan. Anyone that thinks at this point in time at this juncture in the season with the way the pitchers are getting hit around that thinks Josh Fields should be playing before Juan Uribe does not know baseball. I hate OC.
-
7/31 - White Sox @ Minnesota Twins (7:10pm CSN)
I am really starting ot dislike this team due to OC, Swisher and Konerko. The pitching is making it even harder as they will proceed to get lit up in beautiful Kauffman stadium.

7/31 - White Sox @ Minnesota Twins (7:10pm CSN)
White Sox pitchers are afraid of the Twins hitters that is about all I can think of.
