  1. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 07:02 PM) Way to be a gamer DJ. He clearly doesn't have his stuff, but he is fighting. Maybe AJ's words last night sparked him. I didn't see the second inning but the last inning he looked to have really good stuff. Hope he can give another inning or two.
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 07:01 PM) If Carrasco does well tonight, do they look at possibly moving him into Jose's spot? NO he is more valuable I think out of the pen. As a starter I think it would be ugly. Real nice job there, real nice.
  3. Carrasco's ball seems to move all over the place. I thought he had Drew looking and Pedroia's hit was s***.
  4. That AB by Drew was exactly what nobody on the Sox can do. Going to be a long night.......
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) Do we call Livan's agent? Heh... Maybe he can be the Sox Jim Edmonds? Didn't he sign with someone?
  6. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 9, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) Did you guys know Alexei is the best pure baseball player on the Sox? No one else makes in-bat adjustments on our team like him. Was just thinking that.
  7. The Royals series will linger for a while asthey lit up the White SOx and the Twins are handling htem rather easily. Real bad AB by Thome.
  8. I just logged in, what happened on the Contreras play?
  9. Last night was the epitome of why the White Sox can stagnate on offense and what theRed Sox excel at. Working a pitcher. The Sox refuse to let the pitcher work. Every Red Sox at-bat seems to go at least 5 pitches. On an other point I referred to Manny as the Boogyman. He seemed to affect every pitch in my mind and I thought the same of certain pitchers. After the homerun last night there wasn't that feeling, "oh s*** gotta get Ortiz because you don't want to face Manny." I think this affected how pitchers worked to the 9 through 2 guys. Manny had a presence that I am sure glad to miss. As good as Youkilis, Lowell and Bay are, they are not Manny.
  10. Wow this team has the ability to just look like s*** really quick. Why do I get the feeling they may not get a baserunner again tonight.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) His stuff is so overrated. No it's not he just can not make a big pitch in a crucial situation he always gets burned.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:52 PM) I want to see more of Wise against righty sinker ballers. He has the perfect swing for that type of pitch. Unless there is an injury I doubt you see Wise or Anderson start again this season.
  13. Not sure whose offense is more pathetic right right the Sox or the Bears.
  14. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:18 AM) It's ironic, but Young's stats really aren't that much better than Anderson's. I actually think right now that Anderson has more upside than Young. and no I would not trade Young for Vazquez and I am not that high on Vazquez right now.
  15. "Somebody bring me some Water(s)" Some good old school Melissa Ehteridge right there.
  16. Sox are now tied for first. And after 1.5 innings this team just up and left. Coincidentaly when Cabrerra decided he needed to make a highlite reel play on a guy slower than Konerko. After Thome and Konerko went back-to-back I thought good things were going to happen today. Why can't the Sox magically turn a game around? In the last 5 days the Sox have blown two four run leads and a three run lead.
  17. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 02:55 PM) You havin a rough day? you're awfully b****y. Can't really blame him this game turned ugly quickly. It feels like the Sox are down by 5. 9 in a row retired by Davies.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) Don't worry, we have Richard going tomorrow. I really want to know why AJP got the day off with an off day on Monday? It is about 110 degrees on the field was hot last night and will be tomorrow. How did Griffey not get that ball.
