  1. There was no way Uribe should have come to the plate there. Street may go the rest of this game with the spinning top approach at the plate.
  2. The baseball IQ of this team could be negative.
  3. Street looks like Borowski and Todd Jones Please PH for Uribe.
  4. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 10:27 PM) At least we have a chance against Street. no we don't
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 10:23 PM) Yep, leave in the fastball pitcher to bat against the fastball hitter. Boone Logan's fall from grace really hurts there. Ramirez was warmed and ready and should have come in to face Cust. The scary thing is Griffey pinch hitting for Anderson and playing center if it goes extras. Man this team misses Linebrink.
  6. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 10:17 PM) Dotel all over the place. Get him out after Thomas. Cust is a f***ing .229 hitter I don't give a s*** about all of the other pretty stats. 3 for 3 with 3 RBI tonight. Man Dotel can give up home runs rather easily.
  7. Dotel all over the place. Get him out after Thomas.
  8. Dotel all over the place. Get him out after Thomas.
  9. QUOTE (almagest @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 10:13 PM) Yeah, with 2 outs and 2 strikes on Swisher, definitely. Looked like someone in Oakland's bullpen touched the ball, though. Doesn't it then become a dead ball? Sox bullpen. I thought Swisher hit that ball. Sorry that was no doubt the right call. Get Dotel out of there and put in Carrasco. ugh. 4-3
  10. Comparing Boone Logan And Carlos Quentin should get DJ fired. No problem with Anderson going there oh wait Ramirez was on deck. Nice play by the A's.
  11. Carlos ball was murdered. The Thome ab was really bad.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 09:56 PM) I'm sure Uribe was playing Thomas extremely deep on the infield. That was a play that either Gavin or AJP has to make. I stated it was any of the three's fault equally but he did get there and should have caught it as should Aj and Floyd. The Ab's by Uribe and AJ just added salt to the wound.
  13. Bet this pitcher doesn't make it through 4 on Tuesday. Blows 88 MPH fastballs by people. Really sad display of offense. It seems any Sox pitcher that rolls along like that somehow gets dinged up eventually (Danks v. Boston) while the Sox most likely will not reach base again tonight.
  14. Looks like the Uribe nice streak has come to an end offensively and defensively.
  15. Nice job Thorton. Think the Sox will face more then 7 pitches this inning.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 09:41 PM) Gavin's been throwing low fastballs to Cust all night that he's fouled off. He has to be careful this AB with him, as Cust has been just barely behind on that pitch. Great call. Cust is another of those s*** players that kills the Sox. This game is on the offense inabilty to do anything that has allowed the A's to stay in this game.
  17. That really is as much Floyd and AJ as Uribe.
  18. I have never seen a f***ing team miss simple pop-ups like this team.
  19. Wow is this game getting shaky. Braden at a whole 70 pitches through 6. Nice job making him almost kind of work.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 09:30 PM) His 2 homers in the same game against Matt Cain is one of the more odd stat lines this season. I'll go with at the time the Alexi Ramirez v. Dirty Sanchez game.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) These hitters continue to chase that change-up that's way off the plate. You say that like it is something new?
