Season Ticket Holders should be allowed to order as many playoff tickets as they wish until all 44,000 are gone. Then they, like myself can reward those that they feel have supported the team by attending games when those with tickets need a hand.

NOW THAT IS why we need Colon!!
I was talking about baseball. You were talking about cUB pitchers. And in case you haven't noticed, the only place we're mentioned in the same breath with the Yankees and such is on White Sox message boards. I talked about a cub pitcher, not plural, that fit an example I was making, that pitchers get paid on talent not their won and lost record. Nolan Ryan, Steve Carlton, and Chan Ho Park are not cub pitchers. Peter Gammons on ESPN spoke of the Cub and Sox as having have their most realistic chances at winning since 1983 and 1984 respectively. I didn't think Gammons appeared only on the White Sox message board but I could be wrong. I apologize for being positive about this team and realizing that man for man we are as good as any team and as long as our manager doesn't try to manage we have as good a shot as any. I am sorry Bartolo Colon can not produce at the standard of Jim Parque, Cal Eldred, James Baldwin or Mike Sirotka but I'll appreciate him none the less.

NOW THAT IS why we need Colon!!
Loaiza has 6 more Wins than GooBoy. Soon maybe 7. Wood is not on the Sox, nor will he be, so who cares? In case you didn't notice, on the South Side of Chicago, we only pay pitchers who win. And those need to be convincing winners. I must've missed that with all of the champagne from the championships in my eyes. We are spoken of in the same breath as the Yankees and A's this year because of Buerhle, Loiaza, Colon and Garland. We do not gamble on pitching at any cost and it shows with our lack of production as an organization. I mention Kerry Wood as he will get paid because of his talent not his win count. I thought we were talking about baseball, sorry.

I'm not here to convince you, nor anyone else of anyhing. Where'd you get that silly idea? 'Speculative'? Uh, yea, that's why I said it was my opinion. 'Wins'. GooBoy was brought here to win. Pitchers are judged by wins, last I looked. Cy Young recipients get it by getting Wins. 20 game Win seasons are a goal of most pitchers. 20 game Win seasons get the pitcher multi million dollar contracts. The team with the most wins is given first place, last I checked. And the teams with the most Wins at the end of the season go to the playoffs. In the playoffs teams with the most Wins advance, and the one with the most wins in the playoffs is called the 'World Series Champion'. Did they change something? Or were you talking about something other than baseball? Look at the most wins Kerry Wood has ever had in a year and his career numbers. He will be going into the offseason asking for the same money as Colon and I believe he has never won more games than Danny Wright did last year. What was Chan Ho Park's record before he got $12M/year from the Rangers? Nolan Ryan was barely over .500 for his career. Steve Carlton lost 20 games in a season. Esteban Loiza should have over 20 wins this year why doesn't he, yet?

Wait until you see tonights crowd. Unless there is a huge walkup we won't even ahve 25,000. I just went to exchange some tickets and the wonderful Customer Service area for Ticket Sales appeared to be disturbed that I broke up their lunch. As useless as they come. Although I am normally pretty happy with them, my simple questions were pretty much a thorn in their side.

What did I run with? I pointed out the redundancy of your post and for the reaction it gets. Then you pointed out that I am an imature kid that has never been in contact with Chicago? Then you went on to compare your posting to my thoughts on Buerhle. I clearly understand your post as I show up daily for a majority of the day. Your question can be raised of everyone. Why is Thomas hitting .260? Konerko? Buerhle? Koch? Gordon? Everyone. This is not my point, my point was simply to ask why you feel you need to beat us over the head with your feelings of Bartolo Colon, nothing more, nothing less. You "ran with my statement of starting something, I was pointing a fact based on the reaction your posts get, that is all. Then you attack me. Enjoy your day.

NOW THAT IS why we need Colon!!
You have your opinion, I have mine. How many times have you posted negatively about Buehrle? Have I ever, just once, jumped on you personally about it? Have I ever, any single time that you've read, done anything other than disagree with another opinion, and state why? I have REACTED to the name calling, the inane attacks, I'll always defend myself, but have you ever seen me initiate any of that crap? I'll ask you again, Why is it one way for you and not the same for me? It is not your ideas and opinion that is the problem it is fact that they are posted daily when Colon pitches. Most of my negative Buerhle comments are made toward your thoughts on Colon and what appears to be an attempt to place an unjust amount of blame on him by using history and current performance as the guide but you will not use this for Buerhle. My thought on this earlier was that you are posting on this topic "to start something," read all of the posts and verbage that goes along with these threads when posted. Then read your response to me on the fact that you claim to be simply posting your thoughts on this matter. My point was that every person on this site in the last month knows very well that you do not like Colon, why do you feel you need to bring it up daily. After I pointed this out you basically called me a grammer school fool from a far off land. Really uncalled for but hey that is your way, I can live with that. There is no double standard if my comments on Buerhle are geting to you let em know and I will stop. The performance last evening showed what he is made of and why after getting his money in this upcoming offseason his team will be in the playoff hunt while we are watching another sub-par pitching stuff have at it next year. Looking at the game by game results, negative comments are more justly deserved for Buerhle than Colon.

NOW THAT IS why we need Colon!!
It's Oakbrook, and I too come for enjoyment and not to be criticized. Why is it one way for you and not the same for me? Since when is balsting a player starting something? Every hour of every day of every season a Sox player gets blasted by someone on this and all the other sites. Further, asswipe, since when is posting an opinion "trying to shove it up everyone's ass every five days"? I rip GooBoy because he has rarely made an effort this year for us, as he did last night, and as he has against us in the past for other teams. 13-12 isn't what I was looking for from him, were you? "The effort last night was greater than any I had seen recently but then again I am 6 years old so wht the f*** do I know." Had our 'Tub O' Goo' made the effort all season you wouldn't be able to say that, and I wouldn't have a running post. This is this I will write on this subject. Posting every 5 days on the same title is in my opinion excessive and an attempt to shove it down everyone's throat. Everyone here knows your thougths on Colon, again, your opinion is known. At this point it appears in my opinion that you get enjoyment out of telling Colon fans how terrrible he is doing. I am a Colon fan and feel 90% of his outings are worthy of his role, there are only two, that I feel he could have performed better. I am far more disappointed in Mark Buerhle and feel he has had more a negative affect then Colon but I do not post it daily as that is not the purpose of this website nor do I dwell on this aspect of our team. Colon has pitched well over 200 innings and has well above average numbers, I see him putting forth as great an effort as anyone and feel with more consistent offense he would have a better record.

NOW THAT IS why we need Colon!!
If the Tub of Goo thread(s) is not starting something I don't know what is. Why? Is our 'Tub O' Goo' your brother in law? Does he owe you money? Oh, I know, you bought him lunch and are still making payments! Did you grow up in Chicago? Have you ever been here? Are you more than 6 years old? If that's what you call 'starting something' you've led a very sheltered life. You spend a season blasting a player then take offense when I point out that it is starting something. I am well over 6 years old and agree with you on many posts going back to the MLB board. I am sitting in the heart of the Loop right now doucebag, bad assumption on who I am. I am not going to sit here and take a holier than thou attititude like yourself. Just pointing out that if you post your opinion and try to shove it up everyone's ass every five days I will point out that it gets annoying. Look at the MLB board, that place is annoying as hell becasue it is a bunch of clueless idiots that post nothing. That is what all of these posts are. You sit and defend Thomas and David Wells to no end and rip this guy because.....I am not sure why. His record is what it is becasue we can not produce offensivly on a consistent basis. The effort last night was greater than any I had seen recently but then again I am 6 years old so wht the f*** do I know. How old are you? Get out of the home often? Medication need to be increased? Sheltered life? Go back to Barrington. This is a website I come to for enjoyment not to be criticized :dips***

Arbitration Time
Time for our number four starter to step it up tonight if he wants his money next season. With the only losing record among our top starters it is time to step it up for all of the blowouts we have suffered at the hands of the Tigers and Twins in his starts. With the worst WHIP, it is time to give our fielders a rest in this heat and get them on and off the field. If our Tub of Goo can give us tremendous effort against three of the best teams in baseball the last three games, our number four has to produce to at least a servicable level to get to our bull pen to bail him out.

Sox have defensive catcher in High A ball
I think Burke was brought up for his bat/position. Doesn't he have decent experience at the ML level? I may be wrong. Isn't he an AAAA prospect?

Section 500 restricted access
Try doing something for yourself rather than b****ing and moaning and blaming others. Are you brain dead? I'm obviously doing something for myself with gathering votes to get the policy changed. And only a loser would become a season ticket holder for a team that hasn't won a WS in nearly a century now. It's not a logical option. No.. I'm not brain dead at all. But you obviously have some issues from the logic you're attempting to justify in this thread. And only a "loser" would wait until the last minute and whine like a baby that he can't get a ticket. BTW guys.. I have 2 extras for tonight.. who needs 2? I could bring the boy but at 2 he doesn't find the field and game more entertaining than running up and down the ramps. Wife gets to go tonight and I get tomorrow and/or Wednesday.

And to you season ticket holders ... a BIG WIDE :fyou. When the team is s***ty in years to come because we still can't support a 70MIL payroll because of ASS- like you I'll be sure to throw your pompous exclusive vote up your ass! Hey f*** you! The reason we don't have a fan base is becasue assholes like you sit at home and wait for a pennant race then b**** and f***in moan how there are no good seats left. If you went earlier and bought the seats, they are half price all of the time now, you wouldn't have this problem. I understand the constraints of money but don't you dare blame the people that spend and in may cases lose money on their team. I am using two unused tickets for a Tampa game and turning them in tomorrow and will have s***ty seats but I will be happy there are 30K+ fans there. Enjoy your miserable thoughts.

Is robbie a FA after this year?
Fernando Vina is a FA and the same age. The Cards may make a run at him. As well as the Dodgers, Texas, and any other team that wants a 2B.

Section 500 restricted access
What are you going to do with LD access if you don't have a seat? I agree with this policy and will enjoy a big crowd and and s***ty seat both tomorrow and Thursday. The overcowding of the LD pisses me off. The UD is not bad as long as you are in the first ten rows.

Tim Kurkjian
There are too many balls that drop in wheather bloopers, or in the gaps, and seeing eye singles. This stems from our over-all lack of team speed and quickness, nothing ever "gets tracked down," this is where these perceptions come from and I beleive it to be true. It is not errors, it is lack of range from just about everyone.

Props to DW
The Tub of Goo had one good outing....oh wait wrong thread. I like Danny Wright and pull for him. I think he is better served in the pen as a Gagne sort but I would give him another shot at starting and wish Garland, Buerhle and Wright could have nice careers here.

Take Note, Sox Hitters
I believe our problem is not lack of ability but lack of fundamentals, I think it has to do with our guys wanting to hit the first pitch and not look for something to do something with. The prime example was Derek Lowe struggling and us having second and third and no outs. We end the inning on two pitches (Thomas IW in between,) on Lee and Ordonez trying to do something without thinking about it. Ordonez did it again later but the ball snuck under Nomar's glove. Situational hitting and bunting are disgusting. A manager with baseball sense will put Thomas behind Ordonez because Thomas will make a guy work. This was why he was walked twice, not because he is a better hitter. Thomas was going to make Lowe make a pitch to beat him. Ordonez will not. We get way to overanxious and overswing. Lee, Orodnez and Valentin are all living proof of this.

Manuel's blunders
Now I have only been watching for twenty years but I feel that the White Sox have below average managers because they will not pay. I will also point out for a second time today what Johnny B. has done on the northside of town. I feel the cub won three games in that series because of the win mentality. We just lost two games because we have the show up and give it a shot mentality. Look at the numebrs for the Boston starters they beat us with pitching, mostly bullpen, something that has been fried for them. If bringing Marte in AFTER Ortiz homered is not the dumb ass move of they year, somehow having Willie Harris bat with two outs and the tying run on third would be. How about two lefiteis sitting in the pen when Ortiz homered to win the game. That was pure genius. I won't rehash the Neil Cotts situation or the Sunday afternoon in Seattle. This is not the first time I thought Manuel was throwing the game. Sorry but the guy was schooled in the 2000 playoffs and will be again before the weekend is over. Keith Foulke never should have been removed as our closer last year, Josh Paul on the playoff roster, Julio Ramirez, Thomas going to DH while he was red hot. I like the homers but look at the K's, homering is nice for fans but doesn't help win ballgames. Why do we never pinch hit for Alomar or Olivo late in games? Removing Garland in the Kansas City game after Crede gave us the lead. Sean Lowe being run out of town. There are many more negatives tehn positives. We are in first place for a couple of reasons, our division is a f***ing joke and we have possibly as good of talent as any in baseball. Our weaknesses are no greater than any other team. Why should Manuel be fired, one reason, our record against the Detroit Tigers. If we play them at the same clip as the rest of the league, we are 6 games up. We have lost 7 times to possibly one of teh worst teams in the history of baseball. The Twins have lost to them once in two years. The Twins won the other day by playing hard, we lost in the same situation becasue we are soft, as lead by our manager.

A reason to believe
JM is the biggest reason to believe we will not. As much as I hate dusty baylor, the cub stood up and came back and handed it to the Cards, we could use some of this moxie. This is why hoping and praying is all we have.

Prospect Hot Sheet Finale!
If every team had two it would be the top 60 one is good especially number 1. Look up north to the sacred land of blue chip prospects, I would think they would have at least 5.

'Ace'(?) or 'Tub O' Goo'? Part 24
Can we please leave this guy alone? What is it with you people anyway? Are you messing with Colon because he once played for the s***ty Indians? I don't hear nearly as much venom directed at Burlymon or Garland who both have disappointed this season as well. Theyre white. Enough said. It is not about race, geez, Corg defends Valentin and Thomas to no end. I just think he is getting old and set in his ways. He defended KW to no end and it ended up blowing up in his face as he defended Ritchie to the death. Now he wants to do the reverse to Colon. This thread went on too long last week but hey whatever makes him happy. He is also mad because Colon told him to get lost in espanol.
