  1. This guy had no business being in the big leagues today. I am not saying he will not make it but he throws too many pitches. AA guys do not make it to the big leagues by drawing walks and pitchers should not amke it by walking them.
  2. I always thought a cool picture would be God, you know with the long flowing white hair and beard, robes and what not taking a crap with Wrigley being the toilet and watching the Bears play in the Superbowl at Soldier Field and Sox play at Comiskey at the same time in the World Series. He would be pretty big with the Sears Tower or something as an arm rest. Pretty goofy but in my head it is a cool site. I am not an artist so i will stick with the little kid pissing on the cub hat.
  3. No really has ever even talked about Ross Gload otehr than as a nice conversation piece about our AAA team. It has been pointed out often that he is AAAA material and will only be called up if the situation was dire, (i.e. Cotts.)
  4. I see an Aaron Sele like performance. 4+, 80 pitches, 3 K's 5 BB's 6 hits, 5 runs. A costly error from the fielders to deflate the evening. Just when I get excited (Sunday leaving the park,) this team shows when I can not. The idea of a guy that was basically a throw in on a deal making a huge start for us, we are 2 out with 44 to play (KC has 45 to play,) frustrates me. Wright should have pitched last eve, I have no clue what this teams wants to do.
  5. He need to know how to use them. Colon should throw 100 pitches at least, no matter what. He is better than anyone in the pen.
  6. Look at his stats he can only face lefties. Only saw two batters last eve before I called it quits. I thought Wright should ahve coem in, or Koch.
  7. He was part of one of the best doubleplays ever turned this evening when Valentin shorthopped a doubleplay throw. Somehow this piece of s*** no good fatass is almost 40 games over in his career
  8. WE are great at popping out on the infield. Crede and Konerko have it down to a science. I see a bullpen line 4 2/3 shutout ball for the halos pen. No wait Valentin will get a homer when we are down 6-3 in the ninth. This is sick and getting worse. At least we have a AA pitcher going against this AAA lineup that is making us look like idiots.
  9. We are losing because the bottom four in our order are all under .240 and I would bet have OBP's of less then .300. This is disgusting, as pathetic as it gets. God Night Irene.
  10. They will be separated as Cotts will be skipped every chance theryby giving us 4 lefties in the pen, two of which can go longer than one inning. Cotts will pitch again Sunday and then i beleive there is an off day next week.
  11. Paul Konerko drank beer on television with fans on the HHH turf?
  12. Guillen was knocked out. The Crede portion is called sportsmanship, wheather right or wrong. Kind of like when a pitcher gets drilled and the play becomes second nature. Crede is also very slow and there was soemone covering second and ball was fielded cleanly by the rightfielder.
  13. Those guys could strike-out the next guy, Cotts will not. Cotts is a one-hit wonder that will be figured out. He is a finesse pitcher. In the majors he will get shelled. You can pitch around walks if you can get strikeouts. With men on base more things can happen on the field. He needs his control or he will not be successful.
  14. I am not sure success is the leading indicator. It is the acceptance of the team (i.e. attendance.) From this, big crowds are there , JR needs to shell out the cash. Sign Colon, I know he overheats the fielders, but I like him, Loaiza and Buerhle to 3-5 year deals on the same day in the middle of December and show that we care. Also, ink Ordonez to a Thomas like (7 year plus,) deal.
  15. We still need to give up players for these guys unless they are free agents (teams may be willing to dump them.) Hernandez has a huge salary for next year.
  16. This is why I do not think Tejada will get the busload of cash it appeared. He makes Jose look like a good fielder.
  17. September is good becasue we have call-ups that can fill roles especially in the bullpen and defensively. Toronto was over .500 and we took three series from them. The only other teams over .500 that we played are Boston (split,) and the west coast teams. Not counting interleague.
  18. Those games could cost us the division. This is worth a fringe prospect. A good 5th starter would cause our top five to get more rest and be stronger at the end as well.

We need more black players, they can handle the heat much better. Loiaza threw 121 pitches in 6 innings, unless he was throwing between innings, the fielders were out there a-lot longer than the 99 pitches Colon threw over 8 innings in the heat yesterday. As big a tub of goo as he may be, arguing over who is better is kind of dumb as they both, along with Buerhle are better than anything we have had in about 10 years. Now if only we could get a bullpen. The converstation is pretty frustrating as these two guys are arguably our best starters. If the mindset of the fielders is indeed the case, this is sad as hell. Our fielders should go work for the city as they seem to have standing around in the heat down to a science.
  20. Colon would've cost us Kip and at least Fogg, IMHO.
  21. Imagine the debacle if the bullpen had to be called on early due to a lengthy delay.
  22. Nelson would've looked good in our pen. I assume he has big dough coming. He spoke up and got sent to the Yanks, same with Boone. What to do with Rick White????
  23. What the f*** does bear witha banjo mean? Harvey has three hits down 1-2 as well.
  24. Go back in this thread about Koch, we are really going to need him. I do not think Gordon should ahve come in after throwing 50 pitches the other day and warming up yesterday. Eventually someone is going to have to step up outside of Gordon and Marte.
  25. 4-3 Royals. Here comes marte, f*** Manuel.
