Everything the Sox have been doing lately sends me into a rage. LOL

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) Unbelievable..... If its not KW then its Hahn operating through the essence of Kenny Williams past.
-
Even if he is good you cant count on him.
-
Well there ya go.

QUOTE (chisox802 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 02:58 PM) Take it for what it's worth, but heard from my buddy who works for sox & bulls that expect a Morneau signing announcement today or tomorrow. He is a prototype of who KW likes to sign so it would be of no surprise.

I don't know if I ever heard this much buzz leading up to a musical opening in Chicago.

I think the Sox learned their lesson with what happened with Beckham. Not that he would have been any better if they kept him in the minors for longer but they sure didnt do the guy any favors.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 03:02 PM) There are side effects they just aren't the ones that are immediate like the "take one hit and it will kill you." This is my problem with making it legal. I really don't care what people want to do to themselves but if it increases the use, it will put a bigger drain on the healthcare system which is already messed up. You make a lot of sense. The public perception of pot right now is that its all good. This will bite us all in the ass later on for sure.

QUOTE (Scoots @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 02:13 PM) Yeah, the Tigers do have a strong lineup, but they are streaky. They win a bunch in a row then lose a bunch in a row. I'm more worried about Cleveland. They have some great pitching and can hit when they need to. They are on a tear right now, but they will cool off soon enough. I worry about the Sox more than any team in the division. There is no one in the division that are world beaters. If the Sox play the style of ball that they did in April they will obviously be okay but their funk has now lasted longer than their good streak of baseball. Add in last year and I dont feel very confident.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) It isn't gospel for sure. But in terms of it being a third priority in life, I will never understand that at all. Seeing something like that just blows my mind. Yeah me neither. Whatever floats your boat but good lord would I be a miserable SOB if the Sox were third most important in my life. Not that I think I am better than Lip either, its just that I can be miserable sometimes when the Sox are bad and they are in the 30's to my most important in life.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) Consistent marijuana use is pretty much a guaranteed ticket to a heart attack. THC does a number of these to the body. The primary effect is being powerful anti-inflammatory drug. This is why it's prescribed for things like glaucoma. However, it also slows the healing process because of this and makes injuries take much longer to heal. It also has about a 5x the effect of tobacco in causing cardiac issues. This is great information. I don't think many people believe there are ANY negative side effects to weed.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 10:06 PM) Twitter is saying Kimbo died of a heart attack. 42 years old and in better shape than most. Heart attacks are weird.
-
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 12:24 PM) I wonder if one of the reason they got Shields is possible trade bait before the deadline. That is not their style. They believe he is going to turn it around and be effective.

Popstar was great. God I loved that movie.

It is something I would have definitely rocked in the 90's, but now? Nah, I am good.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 02:29 PM) All 5 starters have a below 3 ERA at this moment The regular season is going to be a cake walk for the Cubs. They will have to play great AND hope that luck falls their way in the playoffs. You have to have both happen.

Robin Ventura sacrifice bunted with the 3 hitter in the 7th inning
shipps replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 11:28 AM) now that I'm at work I have time to screw around with this. this year 126 times have there been men on 1st and 2nd no out #3 hitter up, game within one run. there has been one bunt attempt. This is funny. -
Has anyone ever been to Ruido Fest? I drive past it every year coming from work and every year it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I used to listen to Jaguares and Mana when I was younger but I dont know if they are even around anymore and if they are they probably arent going to play this fest. What are the good spanish rock/indie bands out there nowadays?

Such a weird story. Everyone there said it didnt look like he was being serious when he asked for help, even when one of the guys went to get him he said it didnt feel like he was really drowning so he let him go. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/...owning-accident

I really want to see CarGo come to the Sox. That dude is exactly what we need, offensively at least.

So the lead is leaving the show apparently. https://www.yahoo.com/livenationpresents/po...anda-reportedly

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 31, 2016 -> 10:21 PM) Carlos Quintana? Hahaha. I actually make this mistake ALL the time and have no idea why. Is it a mixture of Carlos Santana and Jose Quintana? I really have no idea why I keep doing it.
-
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jun 2, 2016 -> 11:26 AM) Yeah, you can. The Braves have acquired a bunch of them. I see that they acquired one so I am not sure if that one falls under what Tex is talking about or what? I cant say I know what the restrictions are on trading picks but they must be so tight its basically non existent.

QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jun 2, 2016 -> 11:20 AM) I would be fine with adding Jay, gives Jackson a platoon partner and gives insurance against further injuries in the OF. An OF of Jay, Jackson, and Eaton defensively would be top notch and Jay gets on base at a decent clip. Johnson, Tatis Jr, and Beck for Shields, Jay, $35M and the #71 draft pick. You cant trade draft picks in baseball.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 2, 2016 -> 09:32 AM) They looked like the big green egg, just red Yep, a variety of colors actually and 700 bucks cheaper.
