  1. QUOTE (Tex @ May 27, 2016 -> 09:53 AM) best advertising campaign ever. Talking barnyard animals! LOL
  2. I actually get frustrated trying to explain this to my wife. When things dont go her/our way she tends to let it affect her more than it should. She is not alone but I tend to still be happy during these times and she mistakenly recognizes it as if I dont care. I just know that the truly important things are all good so I am going to still be happy.
  3. QUOTE (Tex @ May 27, 2016 -> 09:40 AM) That doesn't sound familiar either. farmersonly? IK lol
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ May 26, 2016 -> 05:29 PM) As anyone had luck on the apps on the phone finding someone? I use the typical gay apps like grinder and it seems its made for hookups. Wanted to ask the straight world has had any success? I may be too old to even comment but the apps similar to Tindr all seem to be just for hookup type stuff. I think occasionally people find further interest in someone they had what they thought was a one night stand with but its mostly for sex. I could be wrong since I was married a little before those became as popular as they are. Once in a while you may find a Chili that you want to actually date but for the most part people have the mind set that those apps arent for anything serious.
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ May 26, 2016 -> 09:19 AM) Correct. You don't want your face of the franchise leaving and trashing the org. Especially when the thought was that they were still going to be loyal to him and try to bring him back. His words cut a little deeper with that being the case.
  6. First off I want to say that I am grateful to all of those that have given their lives so we can all live in freedom. So what are your plans this weekend? Are you going to barbeque or are you going to mooch other peoples barbeque? What are you cooking and can I come over? I am going to spend my weekend in Delavan, WI which I have never been before. Should be nice to chill by the bonfire and look at the lake.
  7. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 25, 2016 -> 03:06 PM) There are currently 5 games in progress in the MLB. 7 of 10 teams have 5 or more runs 1 team has four 1 team has three 1 team is the Chicago White Sox LOL What does this even prove?
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 25, 2016 -> 02:44 PM) How that organization can stick with a guy who is as toxic as Forman appears just blows my mind Especially when they had every excuse to let him go this off season.
  9. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 25, 2016 -> 02:42 PM) I know Tim isn't ready. Could he come up and not be a train wreck? I don't know. But I do know there's a chance he comes up and is a spark offensively and on the base paths. I would rather not give him the Beckham treatment and look to him to save a struggling lineup.

    Yeti Coolers

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 25, 2016 -> 02:33 PM) half marathons. Almost as stupid as the little caricatures of people that represent your family. Seriously? I am having a hard time not making a smart ass comment about someone running A HALF OF A MARATHON and boasting about it with a bumper sticker.
  11. I think Zobrist will probably be the type of guy that just falls off the earth and goes from great to awful in a short amount of time. He maximizes every bit of physical talent that he has on a daily basis. When his body says no you are done, even a little bit, he will wont be able to max out and he will be bad.
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 25, 2016 -> 06:45 AM) Relevant to previous conversation, but long distance relationships take their toll. Smart phones help immensely, but I just got in I've such relationship and the critical things we've hit on include... 1) Making sure we talk almost every day on the phone 2) Have a date for it to end, so once I'm done with school. 3) Plan out the visits. We just scheduled a visit every month for the next year last night. 4) Intent. She and I agreed you don't get in these relationships without the endgame being marriage. Her sister got mad and said we're moving too fast, but we've been good friends for quite some time it helps. Whew, thats a heavy subject to be talking about in the very beginning of a relationship but some people handle it better than others. My concern would be that you put too high of expectations on a relationship from the very start and it can be more pressure on you both than what is necessary.

    Yeti Coolers

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 25, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) I thought they were for avid mountain hikers like the dolts that feel the need to put 26.2 on thier car What does the 13.1 mean? I have seen those.
  14. I really took a step back this morning and smelled the roses. The Sox are in first place and we are almost into June. They probably wont hold first place from now until the end of the year but they at least have enough talent and good mix to remain competitive this summer and hopefully into Fall buying themselves a playoff lottery ticket. Hahn will make a move to improve the team and we may get some fun surprises in call-ups that produce and help the team in this playoff goal. Last year was miserable. This team is at least going to make this summer interesting and I look forward to more entertaining ball.

    Music and more Music

QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 8, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) Radiohead's A Moon Shaped Pool: 10/10, AotY. Unbelievable. Tears were shed. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 9, 2016 -> 06:58 PM) I ordered the Special Edition and can't wait to see them live again. It might be their best album, Daydreaming is already among their best songs for me with Pyramid Song, How to Disappear, Bloom, Videotape and Lucky. Did you see the Daydreaming vid live? I have listened to listened to a Moon Shaped Pool about 10 times through. I know that Radiohead is one of those bands that it takes a while to hear all the complexities of their music to really appreciate it. I get them. I just have not yet understood all the love this album is getting. I want to love it but I just dont. There are a few good songs. Full Stop is the best song on the album but all the rest is so damn slow and boring. I wait for the part in each song when they start jamming and he cuts you with his voice but it really never comes. Except for in Full Stop. Dont get me wrong, his voice is beautiful but I want more from them. In Rainbows definitely delivered more of what I need from Radiohead. Actually I think I may be confusing Hail to the Thief with In Rainbows. I have to check that.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 24, 2016 -> 02:24 PM) I couldn't pin point when but at some point in college a switch just flipped and I went from one of the shyest people around to one of the most outgoing. I'm sure people feel plenty awkward around me at times but I'm not afraid to embarrass myself and I'll talk anyone now a days. You should care about others opinion of you, you are a terrible dude.
  17. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 24, 2016 -> 02:25 PM) If you have their credit card, you can exchange your points to use on other carriers, e.g. one of my coworkers used his SW points to fly his family to Italy last year (we fly SW a lot at my work). I don't have the credit card, so if I want to use my points, I can only use them on SW. I have their credit card and I had no idea that I could exchange my points for other carriers. Thanks.
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ May 24, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) My social awkwardness/shyness comes from being shunned and bullied in school as a kid. If I don't know people I'm actually more comfortable than if I know them, because sometimes I wonder about people's opinions of me. Even now, 25 years after high school. Wow thats a perspective I didnt think about. You shouldnt have any care for anybody's opinion of you, you are a really good dude.
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ May 24, 2016 -> 11:06 AM) So the first wave of tickets has come out and the cheapest is $550. Somehow more expensive than new york. Well damn...
  20. QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ May 24, 2016 -> 09:54 AM) I am socially awkward, but I just stopped caring about it so it cancels out, if that makes sense? I guess I play it off well, people who know me online don't believe me when I say I'm an introvert, but in either case my personality is exactly the same. I am growing towards that for sure but there are certain situations that I truly do want to make a good impression on someone or a group of people and it is just brutal. LOL
  21. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 24, 2016 -> 10:00 AM) I am usually really awkward when I first meet people. It takes a while for me to open up to people. I have to go to a wedding on Saturday where I won't know one person. Super excited about that. Thats a nightmare.
  22. I find myself extremely uncomfortable when I am in social situations with people I don't really know. I always either say something dumb or there is awkward silence that I have a hard time allowing to happen so then I try even harder to make conversation and it winds up being even more uncomfortable for everyone (as I see it). I am a social butterfly around people I know but at work or many other situations I find myself in extremely uncomfortable situations where I have to connect with people I dont know. Often times I am sure it isnt as bad as I am seeing it but its how I usually walk away saying to myself "stupid, stupid, stupid"!
  23. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ May 23, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) I'd gladly settle for a split today. Sale & Quintana going the next two days helps as well. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^This.
  24. I can honestly say I have no idea what I got my groomsmen. I wanna say gift cards? LOL
