I guess I don't understand what your trying to prove. Why do you care what we think or what your supposed friends think? You are what you are.

Seat Locations Available for Post-season

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) I was suprised as well. Isnt the price just doubled or something from the regular season? How does it work? it really doesn't matter how it works. You either pay or give up the seats and someone else will pay. part of the deal. Season ticekts are expensive as well. its basically $100 bucks a game if you figure in a parking pass. -
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) Delete this if necessary, but where's JimH? he is taking a pass on the site for awhile. Like I do plenty of times. Too many children.

QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Sox will win this game... Ok that convinced me

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) I have no clue. We were smacking the ball around the field against Hernandez. Cora has to realize that not only is Iguchi slow, but Sanders was playing Thome so deep that it didn't take him very long to retrieve the ball. actually the biggest thing is you had the heart of the lineup coming up. Why not give them a chance, thats why you pay them the big bucks. I can see if andersen or uribe were coming to the plate, but cora just gets too happy waving people around. On another note I wasn't follwing the thread but I hope that tool box that grabbed the ball that andersen hit got thrown out. I hate that crap. Know the damn game or go to Wrigley.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 08:46 PM) Don't worry, the score doesn't resemble how the game has really gone. Dye dropped a fly ball to allow one run, and our runs were a gift from the umpire and then a TERRIBLE decision by Cora to run us out of the inning. I agree Joey made a poor decision but I really think Javy needs a doctor. He hits the sixth inning and he turns into a pussy

Seat Locations Available for Post-season
quickman replied to NorthSideSox72's topic in Pale Hose Talk
here is another rub to this at least for full season ticket holders. If the sox don't get in or if there is money left over due to a sox early exit the money is applied to next years season tickets. If you choose to get your money back instead of applying it, then your seats go up for grabs automatically and given to the next person on the list. So other than people complaining which I am not, this virtually guarantees a sold out next season. -

QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 05:39 PM) lets make it to the post season before worrying about tickets thats the point you can't the money is due in two weeks. There you go -
QUOTE(bigredrudy @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) You, of course are keeping Dye next year as you have an option on his for 6 million. I am not advocating letting him go in 2007 I am talking about 2008 and beyond. I do not think the White Sox budget will allow you to resign Buehrle, Crede, Dye and Iguchi. What if Dye wants a 4 year deal for 50 million. Right now he is a better player than Konerko. I just think the Sox might balk. Dye will be playing for cheap money next year but in 2008 he will want to be paid like the other big names on the Sox. i see, well that clears it up, but I will add, I think the sox budget will increase next year as well, as attendance is terrific. Now i agree they may not choose to resign in 2008 but if they don't I think they will go and get a real player to replace him, if they want to contend. if they want to rebuild then maybe sweeney comes if he is not traded by then. All good specualtion but KW likes to trade his system as much as I do and the sox minor league players take a long time to contribute consistantly. personally Mcarthy still has not proven to me he is an ace in the making. i think he is good but nothing great.
-
QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 06:22 PM) Well, first of all, no 'we' aren't. Second of all, the one poster that suggested it said "I do not believe Dye will be resigned after next year". he might be right, if Dye gets injured he won't be resigned. Then if we have as good as pitching as whats on paper now, we will get a free agent or trade for someone. Sweeney might actually be part of that trade! thats if KW wants to win.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 10:06 PM) 18 straight sellouts, 38 total on the season. Here is where it gets interesting though as there are tickets for all four of the up coming games at home against KC... Do your think Sox fans, put your money where your mouths are. You say you go when we win, well we just swept the best team in baseball... I am not picking on you but this is funny. Most guys on this site want tickets for free. (not you) its kind of funny seeing put your money where your mouth is when 75% of this board need to ask Daddy for money to go to the game.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 06:17 PM) "We" as in one poster? Well I usually group all of you guys together

So we are talking about letting go our potential MVP this year for some pie in the sky prospect whom we hope will hit 20 Hr's this year? Didn't anderson hit 20 Hr's in the minors last year. That is certainly transitioning well isn't it? i think if the sox want to win the world series they won't be playing sweeney regulary anytime soon. Lets rebuild when our pitchers leave. I truly don't beleive we can win the world series with sweeney, andersen and fields in the outfield unless of course your talking about the 2012 world series. When the rebuilding comes the fans will leave.

Personally i think he knew something was wrong, tired or whatever when he pulled out of the World Baseball event. he pitched alot last year including the playoffs and even got up in the bullpen during the playoffs. I also think the sox know it but can't do much about it. Eitherway the team is done.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 05:31 PM) This board is going to erupt if the Twins add Lee, the Tigers add Soriano....and we do nothing. I'm not saying we have to make a major move, but some type of offensive spark would be great. It's so important for KW to add a righty outfielder who can play solid defense/run. Hell, bring back Darren Lewis from retirement. He might have asked the wrong three. He should have asked Garcia, buehrle and vasquez. in addition, why is the chief letting the indians call the shots? Seems fishy.

I am not sure I understand why a manager cannot yell at his players. These pussycats are making millions, football players get yelled at all the time. basketball players get yelled at all the time, why can't baseball managers yell at players who do not do what they are told to do. Quite frankly this team needs an enema and I think its time for those who defend this nonsense to wake up and understand this team needs to be yelled at and also needs a good ass kicking.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 05:32 PM) If it's Tracey, I'm pleasantly stunned. actually this makes for great press. Puts Ozzie as a nice guy again. See ozzie gives second chances, Blah blah, at the same time they could be showing him for trade purposes. We cannot expect much, but he will be better than politte.

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) Apparently its not enough that the Sox are getting blown out; the announcers need to rip on their rookie CF for about 5 minutes. right because thats not a hole at all (this year). actually Rosenthal just piped up and said we need pitching. that just about covered all the holes in that five minutes. -

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) Hahahaha these announcers are tools. "Nothing going right for {Anderson] offensively" "Need someone servicible..." little do they know how great andersen has been hitting lately. Tearing it up. He is obviously over the hump and the bat for our centerfielder is not an issue. -

Big inning for andersen. Can he get closer? now this is excitement waiting to see if andersen can hit over 200. Nothing much left. -

QUOTE(WCSox @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) And I'll raise you Cy Young and Ed Walsh. But that doesn't change the fact that "maxing out at 92" isn't necessarily a negative for a pitcher. I thought that this was common knowledge, but apparently not. i would just rather have power pitchers. personal preference. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) After our performance against the AL East this year, people are going to start saying we're overrated. And they might be right. The only AL East team we've been any good against is the Orioles. I agree they are right. and I am worried about our net west coast trip in september because those guys will make trades and get better and we usually have issues on the west coast. All in all its not positive right now. -

QUOTE(WCSox @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) Yeah, it would've been a damn shame if we'd have had Maddux and Glavine, "crafty" guys who don't throw that hard, on our staff back in the '90s. :rolly since your living in the past, I will take Bob Gibson, and sandy koufax over maddux and glavine. I would just let Cliff pitch the rest of the way. After today we should be 4 up for the Wild card and 4 out for the division. Eitherway the door is quickly closing. -

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) We've been saying that for like the past 6 outings. i know and two years ago ozzie would just cut him and move on. Now he feels like he owes them something. He is breaking his own rules. I think it will take one more outing for cliff to be gone. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 02:36 PM) Wow, I had no clue it was even close to being that high. And to think some people on here actually argue that the Tigers pitchers aren't good. :banghead Tiger pitchers throw 95-100 miles per hour. If they miss there spots they still get people out. Our "crafty" pitchers miss there spots and its lights out.
