I have a question... why sign Uribe for 5 million, and then trade for a SS? Okay, lots of people were expecting to see Garland traded, but our biggest need right now on offense is a leadoff hitter! This tells me that KW and Ozzie are now planning on having Jerry Owens start in CF and leadoff...

The Desert Dogs won their 4th straight AFL title today. Sweeney played RF, batted cleanup, and went 2-4, with 2 runs, 1 2B, 1 RBI, and 1 BB (0 K). Getz batted 8th and went 2-5 with an RBI, and no K's. So, at least he is consistently putting the bat on the ball.
