  1. How about we trade our whole farm system for Cabrera and have a middle of the order of... 3. Cabrera, LF 4. Thome, DH 5. Konerko, 1B 6. Dye, RF 7. Fields, 3B
  2. I don't know how that quote got there, but I agree with you. Plus, he can play 3B, SS, and 1B.
  3. He's their best middle of the order hitter now...
  4. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 9, 2007 -> 10:00 AM) Also the yankees want to move Matsui. That'd be stupid. He's probably their best hitter now that ARod is gone.
  5. Matt Holliday is staying a Rockie, Mets better give up Gomez for Garland, Bill Hall is looking like he will cost too much, and Andruw Jones-god no.
  6. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 9, 2007 -> 07:56 AM) Even though it appears now that Damon is likely to stay a Yankee (or else Girardi will look really bad), it appears the Yanks still like Crede. Anyone care to speculate as to who else on the Yankees KW might want to target? I was just looking at the Yankee's roster and found this guy... Bronson Kiheimahanaomauiakeo Sardinha
  7. I have a question... Would signing Mark Loretta make too much sense?
  8. Kenny Williams said: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...T-sox09.article Now this makes no sense to me. Why in earth we send Fields down to AAA even if Crede stays? What was the whole purpose of having Fields in LF last season? This tells me that KW already has the LF spot already filled, and I have a real bad feeling it will be 'you know who'.
  9. my theory... the Twins are set on trying to re-sign Santana so they are preparing for the fact they won't be able to keep Morneau if they do extend Santana, so they are looking for a young power hitter who is still quite a while away from free agency.
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 09:34 PM) I'd rather trade whoever has more value to "Team X" Touché
  11. I'm gonna download that uncharted demo now... that game looks sick.
  12. I'd rather trade Danks then Gio...
  13. Garza yes, Slowey, no. I don't see what everyone sees in Slowey and 2nd or 3rd time through the league I can see him get his s*** rocked.
  14. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 10:47 AM) I have. It pales in comparison to Tecmo Super Bowl. You pale in comparison... Anyway, none of the rental places have CoD4. I think I will just buy it.
  15. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 07:30 AM) Phoenix wins 6-5. Sox players... Sweeney: 2-5, 2 R, RBI, 2 SB Getz: 1-5, R, RBI Lucy: 0-1 Russell: 1.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K Day: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K Sweeney has played well in the past week or so. He is showing pretty good base running ability as well now with 2 SB's. Perhaps that is something the white sox want him to work on? Russell with a bad outing, but Day (outside of the first week or so) has pitched very good.
  16. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 12:45 AM) Just making sure you're aware of Russell's 4.79 ERA in 194 innings in AA, which is a pitcher's park, to go along with some very mediocre peripherals. He may have dynamite stuff, and he may be a breakout candiate next year at AAA as a reliever full-time, but I'm not about to put the word good anywhere near him yet, even if it's talking about the pen as a whole. That would insinuate that he's a good prospect, when merely I think all you can do is classify him as a sleeper. Well, I know he is a project, and I'll like to think that spring training last year wasn't a mirage. He should a good mid-high 90's fastball w/ movement, and a good breaking pitch. I'm not saying he will be anything special, but I wouldn't write him off this early.
  17. Should I get CoD4 or not? This is killing me. I have 4 straight days off and I really want to play CoD4 but I am scared it will be a disappointment.
  18. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 01:02 AM) I take it you have never played Tecmo Super Bowl for NES. have you never played MVP 05? Now that is the best game ever.
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 10:10 AM) Lance has shown me a bit at the major league level. I would wait and see on that pick. I like Lance, but he ain't no Garza, obviously. I think Lance can be a fine end of the rotation guy, or perhaps a good reliever.
  20. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 10:02 AM) Rotoworld talks about how the Twins are looking to trade young pitching, namely Garza, for an impact bat I say offer Fields for Garza and run all the way to the bank. as would I...
  21. that's not a bad idea, but I am not excited about the idea of trading Floyd. But if we did acquire Church, we could perhaps get Spilborghs from Colorado since they are pretty packed with OF'ers. I wouldn't mind a platoon of Church and Spilborghs in LF (or center depending on how the offseason goes) at all.
  22. QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 10:01 AM) Add to that Freddie Garcia ... as a result of the Olivo, Moore and Reed deal. The farm system produced Freddie, so to speak. Then add Pods and, hell I forget the pitcher's name now for Carlos Lee. Then add Iguchi, AJ, El Duque from the money saved. The farm system 'produced' several key members of the '05 team. Mike Cameron was a product of our system, right? Yeah, he was. And he was traded for Konerko.
  23. Bourn, Geary, and a minor leaguer for pretty much Lidge.
  24. QUOTE(greg775 @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 08:33 PM) I'd rather have Uribe than Everett. sadly... same here.
