That's a White Sox SWEEEEEEP!
Three years ago I recall an article that didn't rate the Sox farm system #1 because their talent, although high ceiling, wasn't as major league ready and thus might not pan out. Well they pretty much all panned out, thank you very much.

White Sox Winner! RIP Piranhas!
Point taken. I'd be down with having both teams full strength. There are "two guys" on our side that I wouldn't mind having on the field as well.

How are the White Sox leading the AL in runs per game?
I'm just amazed that they now also have a large lead in run differential, and yet I still have this feeling their offense hasn't really gotten on track yet.

Madrigal.
Would a viable comparison be Pete Rose? He had practically no power especially later in his career, and I could probably count on one hand the times I saw him pull the ball. That said, Pete Rose is a pretty high bar for justifying being a slap hittier.

5/9 Chicago White Sox @ Kansas City Royals 1:10 PM CDT
This game feels like it could end up something like 13 - 9.

If middle relievers were worth a huge investment...they wouldn't be middle relievers.

Ripken and Gehrig better look in their rearview mirror. Iron horse Leury's on the way.

Rodon
Or those. Webster's not my best friend.

Rodon
You take the good you take the bad you take it all and there you have the facts of life... My point is that Rodon is the converse of Robert. We lost a key piece to health which we didn't expect, but we gained one for health which we didn't expect.

zack collins
The irony is that their is so much criticism for JR not opening the pocketbook and when he does (Grandal) he gets raked for it. Guess big money is not necessarily smart money. BTW does anyone else have as miserable a time as me navigating thru the forum on a phone with all the ads and all? Half the time I can't even find the reply button. /rantoff

Rodon
Its been noted Carlos is a real competitor. If I'm him then, I look at a healthy 2022 Sox team coming back and I want to be a part of that even if someone else offers a slightly better deal.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
When he returns, assuming they don't rush it, will he be 100% straight up or will this nag him for the rest of the season...or longer?

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
not. good. fan. relations.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
A few years ago on vacation we staggered into a car dealership right after blowing out our van's transmission in a rainstorm 500 miles from home. That dealership = every other MLB front office watching the Sox right now.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
If this turns out to be a season ending type thing, "my battered sox fan" gut wants to tell me he won't ever come back and that if he does he won't be the same Luis Robert. My gut BETTER be wrong.

5/2 Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland 1:10 PM
I'm getting visions of an ESPN special someday in the future called "The greatest teams in sports history that never were."

The TLR Manager Thread
TLR is like the feel good little league coach who demands everybody always play, including the skinny kid with the thick glasses. Wait, I was the skinny guy with glasses on my team ?

That's a Winner, Winner Pasta Dinner Sox Win
No, Rodon and Lynn are where the "Machado money" is going to be spent. ?

Indians @ Sox 5/1--3:00 Central
Since they are playing the Sunday lineup today what are they gonna play tomorrow? The Super Sunday lineup?
-
Indians @ Sox, 4/30
Can we just have the pitcher hit instead of Yaz?

The Andrew Vaughn LF Thread
Yeah the thing is if Cease has truly found himself where do you put a starter? 6 man rotation? If not the rotation what kind of pen help is worth AV, Eloy or Mercedes, etc? Or is the point to trade one of these guys for prospects?

White Sox Game 2 Winner!
Yes. In my thinking, "utility sub / late inning replacement weapon" is the definition of "super sub". He can competently fill any role at any time, which makes him uniquely valuable. The only role he shouldn't fill is "primary everyday starter". I have said before, a championship calibur team needs a Leury for a super sub. Also rans need a Leury as a regular.
