  1. I think we can prematurely call this #10
  2. Loss today, win tomorrow with a Ray's Sunday lineup after they clinch the series.
  3. https://www.facebook.com/reel/171522075824740?s=yWDuG2&fs=e If the team was a golfer. "Jeff here is lying 9 and doesn't have a shot in hell .. ."
  4. For most everyone here, this is the longest losing streak in their lifetime. I was 7 years young and blissfully unaware during the 1968 steak.
  5. Trying for one positive themed thread going, although not that positive. They are currently 13 games under .500. Barring a major sell off, and accounting for the usual injuries, the most optimistic I can be is for them to get to a few games under.500. With 135 games remaining they need to go 74-61 to reach .500. I can't see a scenario that they do much better than 70-65. With a sell off for prospects, and the really thin farm system, they could lose 100. Other positives would be rookies, and players back to their positions full time (Andrew) having a better second half and ending the season with some confidence.
  6. Thank you @South Side Hit Men So actually 14 would be the same season record since the previous spanned two seasons. Somewhere Tony and Leury are doing shots and
  7. No they would have only won 5 games this month.
  8. Major storm passing through. Knocked out my internet. No MLB TV. Proof God loves me and wants me to be happy.
  9. Yermin is hitting .368 in the Mexican League. Remember that great month he had in 2020? Random thoughts while watching Sox play baseball.
  10. I honestly hope they lose. Damn, I can't ever remember thinking that before. I want the chairman of the board to have his name on the losing record.
  11. You believe White Sox Dave believes the person who sent it to him. Why do you believe Mike Panozzo? I believe you. So if you believe Dave, I guess we're all believing Mike Panozzo. And if someone believes me, they believe you, Dave, and Mike Panozzo.
  12. While I wouldn't bet against it being legit, I never accept on face value that stuff is true.
  13. They made #8 look easy. That's more than half way. A couple milestones are coming up. One is not made up. Saturday- Double Digit Losing Streak Day the team will bring in their all time doubles leaders of Thomas, Appling, Konerko, Fox, Baines, Abreu, Collins, Minoso, Durham, and Falk. Not to throw out first pitches, but to play on one day contracts. They lose in the 10th when they collectively said "f*** this man on second s%*#. In our day we actually hit doubles to get on base" and walked off. Sunday - Swept for Three Series Day first 1,000 fans receive and Libman broom. Actually only 132 fans are in attendance, all wearing Jay's gear receive brooms. The rest JR sells on eBay. The money will be spent. May 5 - Fitting Tribute Game. Most remaining fans who want to watch the team tie the all time Sox losing streak mark will not be able to because the game is only on Apple+.
  14. While I agree with the underlying concept that they are overmatched I disagree they are like a college team. The college teams I've watch give a f*** and hustle and give the appearance of trying. Hell, my high school team shows more desire to win.
  15. Whatcha drinking tonight? If 75 wins takes the division they will have 74.5
  16. If you have the Rays in a 13 run pool, close but not a win. They will score a couple more.
  17. Good point. My analysis is Cease has the better chance of a complete game shut out. I'm not worried about the offense putting up six or seven runs.
