4/30- Rays vs Sox VII, 1:10
MLB would gain a city. Look at all the expansion talk, no one says let's add a second team in X.

There is an excellent chance the Sox will not lose tomorrow. Unless this gave gets pushed back.

Sunday line up? Soreness? Being taught a lesson and trying to intimidate the rest of the roster?

4/30- Rays vs Sox VII, 1:10
I believe some owners would prefer to not share a city's affections with another baseball team. It would also intrigue some owners to be the hero that brings baseball to (fill in expansion city). I don't really believe it to be true, but JR could basically use it as a "you want me to sell? Look what that got you. Waving goodbye to the team!"

Years from now we'll be suffering a tough loss and tell the youngins, you think this is bad? In my day we had the 2023 Sox before the new owners moved them to Charlotte.

For most everyone here, this is the longest losing streak in their lifetime. I was 7 years young and blissfully unaware during the 1968 steak.

Best Possible Record from Here
Trying for one positive themed thread going, although not that positive. They are currently 13 games under .500. Barring a major sell off, and accounting for the usual injuries, the most optimistic I can be is for them to get to a few games under.500. With 135 games remaining they need to go 74-61 to reach .500. I can't see a scenario that they do much better than 70-65. With a sell off for prospects, and the really thin farm system, they could lose 100. Other positives would be rookies, and players back to their positions full time (Andrew) having a better second half and ending the season with some confidence.
