This election is the Dems to lose. Bush's approval rating is a stench that will stick to every GOP candidate that is currently out there. So the Dems can either think Now we can elect a "barrier breaker: in Obama or Clinton or Don't f*** this up by nominating an unelectable candidate. Hillary is about as unelectable as anyone in the field. Obama is approaching that level. Hillary has too much negative baggage. Edwards would win in a cakewalk.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 01:29 PM) MLB.tv the the most worthless thing in the world. Well worth the money if you live out of market.

What is troubling to me is the show of force for a "white collar" crime. Guns drawn etc. I wonder what they were expecting?

Has anyone else notice Sandy Alomar in our dugout?

I saw Moises Alou at the Urologists, he wanted to shake my hands -
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:54 PM) And in the continuing kicking of Mark Prior, because he was on the minor league DL when he had his surgery, this season will NOT count towards his major league service time. He will now have to wait until after the 2009 season to be a major league free agent. ouch . . .

QUOTE(Shadows @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 01:01 PM) Really? I have never had an Astros or Rangers game be blacked out, do you get FSN? Thats where they always show them I should clarify my mlb is blacked out.

Hundreds of innocent people detained at gun point, hundred innocent processed, to arrest 15 of the 60 warrants. Again, imagine if Federal agents detained hundreds of white people? Her comment, if I could help translate, they want the documents so they can go get a job. Not so they can take a government handout, they want to work. I have more sympathy for someone who is desperate for a job than legal residents who sit on their ass and accept public aid.

QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:23 PM) Wow. What a bump. "Cracker-Cats?" Something to do with the oil industry up there. I spoke with him when he was managing in the Texas-Louisianan League. I wonder how significant it is if you Google Terry Bevington a soxtalk thread is in the top five links and we weren't even around when he was managing the Sox.

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) It was believed that the ring was being run out of the Little Village Discount Mall, at least partially. I highly doubt yuppies in Woodfield are looking to buy fake ID's and stolen SSN's. But how many were innocent versus the guilty? Did they really have to go to those extremes with innocent people there shopping? Were forgers considered armed and dangerous? I'm surprised the police went in like that. In fact I doubt the accuracy of those statements. OK, bathroom walls. You are inside changing your baby and the police break down the bathroom door with guns drawn? Seems extreme and as I mentioned above, I wonder if it is really accurate. This must not be the kind of mall I am thinking of. I know Woodfield is too big, but I picture a public place with the public strolling among shops.

Seems a bit overzealous. Imagine if they shut down Woodfield and kicked in those doors with guns drawn.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:17 PM) Maybe he will rejuvenate his career by changing his name to Casey Rogowski72. Fixed

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:53 AM) Pft, I had a pocket full of Kryptonite years ago Spin it anyway you like Doctor, are you certain it wasn't just brass?

I understand your point SS, but how wouldtaking their money out of the system help?

He was fired from the Cracker-Cats of the Northern League last season after an on-field brawl.

I saw Terry Bevington My god, isn't that painful enough? BTW, he was up in the Northern League with the Cracker-Cats until an on-field brawl last season forced his resignation. -
QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:53 AM) What the hell is a proxy? It changes your ip address (what IDs you on the internet) to something out of the area. I'm not certain if that would work for you. I have the same problem. I'm over 500 miles from Dallas or Houston, and most of the games are not on my cable provider, yet I'm blacked out for Astros and Rangers games.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:50 AM) Which always seemed odd to me, about Rogo. He hits for solid average, so he can make good contact. And he is built like a friggin grizzly bear. I really expected he'd develop more power. If by power you mean another big looping swing we seem to produce, yuck.

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:39 AM) I wouldn't be shocked if NY radio was making the A-Rod argument Maybe if anyone cared enough to even worry about it. A-Rod and Thome put up some sweet numbers that week. Mark with a one hitter probably would not have won. I'm just surprised it is his first weekly honor.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:04 AM) Does that mean we shift more burden to them? No, that doesn't work. But I'm not certain that removing the money from the top is the answer. Perhaps we need to work towards a program where the Gore's and Crowe's money heads to the places with the least financial resources to fund pollution reduction programs? QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:05 AM) Isn't that exactly what you guys have been trying to do with the tax code? Ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing nice.

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 09:32 AM) Whether or not the sock was bloody is debatable. Whether or not Curt Schilling is a total dickface isn't. At least in my mind. So, you're a Shilling fan

Interesting, very interesting, Let the speculation begin.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 10:53 AM) Because it forces the actual reductions onto the people who can least afford it. Great point. But isn't money a factor in any problem?
-
Didn't look good, never turned it on. Must have missed something.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 08:20 AM) So what you are saying is that we should be doing this, but it isn't working right now, and we should stick with it to see if it works in the future, dispite what the naysayers might say? hmmm.... Stay the course. Americans don't have the courage to continue when things don't work exactly to plan. Oops, that's Iraq.

QUOTE(BV2005 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:19 AM) I saw tony graffanino in my neigborhood. he tried to get my run away cat, but it went right between his legs. Impossible. Graffanino, Buckner, and Durham, were all posing for the International Croquette League's new logo.
