He's a greedy prick for leaving Oakland.

For the first time in 31 years, I did not attend a game. My family did purchase many tickets and sent them to friends and customers.

Sometimes I think all fans (except Yankmees) are the same. The Indian fan sites are more worried about staying in the WC chase than winning the division. The popular scenario is the Sox having wrapped up the division, resting starting pitching to set up the rotation, and the Tribe having an easier time to sweep and grabbing the WC. Some were amused that we cheered so loud when they lost on Sunday. Hell they could have heard me from Texas. That was an awesome 10 minute stretch of Cleveland loss and Sox bats pounding the ball.

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 10:36 AM) This may sound like a daft question to all you long time baseball fans but as I'm still coming to terms with the intricasies of the game I hope someone can help. In a recent newspaper article, A.J. Pierzynski was talking about how Buerhle had "constantly jammed the Twins with his cut fastball." He went on to say how this "opened up the outside corner later." My question is, what did he mean by this and why is it a good thing? I know what the outside corner is but how does a cut fastball open up the outside corner? Couple reasons, one is When you keep seeing inside pitches, you start to look for them. You start to back off the plate a little bit. The outside of the plate seems waaaaaaay out there, you freeze thinking it's out of the strike zone, the umps hand comes up, and you are grabbing some bench. BTW. Awesome sig.

Which seems closer to the truth Ozzie = Doug Collins Ozzie = Phil Jackson

A middle aged guy was applying for a job at the US Post Office. The interviwer explains that these jobs are very hard to get unless you have already worked for the government. "I was in the Army" "Very good, you get points for that. Did you serve in combat?" "Yes, I was in the first Gulf War" "Very good, you get points for that. Were you injured" "Yes, I had my scrotum blown off" "Ouch, that's too bad, but excellent for getting this job. In fact, you're hired. We work from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. I guess I'll see you at 10:00." "Why 10??" "Well we usually spend the first couple hours drinking coffee and scratching our balls . . ."

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 01:20 PM) "Guillen, though, is hinting about leaving Chicago after this season regardless of what the White Sox do or don't accomplish." So why the f*** did he sign an extension? I thought he clearly said he thought about leaving the Sox if the won the World Series because he would accomplish everything in his baseball career. So why would he manage another team? This writer doesn't have a clue. :headshake Did you forget the first part of Ozzie's rant? The part about Sox fan's booing him? The WS win just made leaving easier.

Baby dies in fire after electricity cut off What did you do? Let me help explain it lady. You started a small fire in your baby's room then left, leaving an 83 year old person in charge. Leaving a fire burning is STUPID. A candle is a fire. It isn't the city's fault for not giving you the money to pay your electricty bill. It is your fault for leaving a fire burning and leaving. Damn, people are so stupid. for the baby.

Forgetting for a minute all the travel expenses, office expenses, etc. in running a big operation, what if JR spent 100% of the gate on player salaries, would that make everyone happy? Using $30 as an average, which I believe is generous with discounts, that would be a $70,000,000 payroll.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 07:22 AM) I never thought I would see the deadliest terror attack in our history, the most expensive natural disaster in our history, and a war in the same 5 year administration. Good time to cut revenue. This is so costly, the only way to pay for it is if the government cut taxes back to zero. KAP, notice my man Hammer isn't on the list '08 He is arguably the most investigated politician right now and he is indictment free, 100% tested and ready to be driven.

LOL, "Dude where's my food" Do tell how he enjoyed his flight. I'm not certain how much I would enjoy that. Although it does seem very cool.

Either route can be successful. The wild card brings lower expectations, a we're just happy to be here looseness. The best record in the frickin' AL, brings a certain swagger, but the bullseye on the back. It all depends on how it gets spun. I think it's rather overblown actually. I'd rather be playing the AL East winner than the West. I'll bet the players have a favorite, although I doubt they will say it.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 11:37 PM) Oh my. Do we need to change the name of the smiley to "HAMMER"? DeLay is a TOOL, for the record. You are kidding about Delay? How can you not love the guy? He is perhaps the most ruthless politician to come down the pike in the past 50 years. A take no prisoners type. If we are serious about cleaning up terrorism, let's hammer them. Look how he pressed very advantage and forced through these new districts in Texas, adding three more GOP districts. Ruthless and determined. '08 Cut your heart out to get what he wants.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) DING! And to think, most "Democratic" spokespeople are people like her. Again, get a f***ing message instead of "anti-everything Republican" and they'd have more power then Hitler, I mean Bush. I think you have some on both sides of the isle, but yes, the GOP has done a better job of shutting them up and hiding them in a closet. Plus the GOP has the greatest PR spin machine ever amassed on this planet. Imagine a dictator if he had the GOP Radio Network at his disposal.

what worries me is we discredit the message when someone like Barbara speaks.
