Juggs, work some numbers for me. How many terrorists are in the world? What is the world population? What is the probablity that any single person is a terrorists? Are you including "home grown" terrorists like McVeigh, Nichols, John Walker Lindh? Now how much should we change our policies to protect ourselves from this threat? How many people should suffer compared to how many people may be a terrorist?

I was more thinking of groups where guys had no influence or were interchangeable. Fleetwood Mac was as much Mick and Lindsay as the ladies. AFAIK, there were no guys as regular, contributing members of Heart. I was trying to come up with a "strictly female" band or duo. If we are just talking female rockers than Pretenders, Fleetwood Mac, Benetar, would all be strong leaders.

No one "deserves" to be a victim of a crime. She didn't "deserve" it anymore than a guy in a nice suit deserves to get mugged. What she did was place herself, by making some very stupid choices, into a very dangerous situation. I've stopped listening to the coverage, but has there been any mention of "date rape drugs"? I agree the media attention is all out of wack and I find it puzzling. The only good I can think of is I hope people learn a lesson here. If you kill someone, hide the body really, really, well. I mean don't make stupid drunk choices.

I saw them way back when. They opened for ELO (who I wanted to see). Imagine a 37 minute rendition of Sara Smile and an equally long and annoying Private Thighs or whatever the hell they sang. That song was on 867 times per day and I almost puked. The concert was up in Milwaukee, the Stones had announced a tour with sky high (for then) prices and no one could sell out a concert hall. The main floor was full and about 5 rows of the sides. The idiot usher wouldn't let us down grade from the crowded main floor to the empty seats. The worst part was pretending to be really, really, into H&O while trying to make a new friend :rolly And the ELO opening featured a robot that rolled out onto the stage and got stuck. Ruined that momentum.

As much as I loved Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, I'm going to go crazy on you and say Heart as the best female dou or group. My criteria is that the rest of the band could be interchangeable, tossed aside like yesterday's newspaper. Making a group like Fleetwood Mac inelligble. Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham are too important to the sound. Solo artists need not apply.
