let me add my two cents, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one
  2. Frank isn't running all that great. Frank is swinging for a home run jog. When he comes back, I'd like to see him moved down the line up a bit. Also, did everyone read that one reason Shilling came in early was Francona knew Ozzie had Frank on the bench. ANd Francona said you always have to respect Thomas. He still changes games.
  3. Yes, I'm tired of him. In his defense, coaching NY, his hometown, is a dream job. I am inclined to cut him a small bit of slack for wanting to end his career back home on the worlds biggest stage. If he was leaving for Minnesota or something equally silly, I'd have no sympathy.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 02:50 AM) If a pitcher, any pitcher, shuts us down .... THIS OFFENSE SUCKS! If we score a few runs .... The pitcher didn't have his good stuff. :headshake Great summary YAS!
  5. I go all over the map. The Who Pat Green George Strait Modest Mouse Toby Keith 3 Tenors Hairbangers Ball AC DC Chicago Changes by the day.

If we freely give up all our rights and liberties, the terrorists can't take them away.
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 06:33 AM) Here's an interesting little note: Looking past the words, I hear -- Gee, I'd like to play the minimum number of games to be ready for the playoffs. Sounds like my kind of gig.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 05:17 AM) Sorry, but I'm not going to reread 18 pages of cliches just to check whether one is a repeat. But since you emphasized 'old" ... Old Man, take a look at my life. I'm a lot like you. Well, I hope Neil Young will remember a southern man don't need him around anyhow.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 05:07 AM) War! What is it good for? Repeat. But thanks for giving it the old College try

all's fair in love and war
  12. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) Technically, yes you can. Though the ladies call me Dr. Love... I believe your ellipses are out of order. This should read Though the ladies call me Dr. Love ... I assume they start laughing immediately after calling you Dr. Love We kid, because we care™

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) Yes, but it has to have a special chip in it so it only gets PBS. My college fridge had a chip in it so it only got PBR

QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 05:01 PM) You guys got nothing on some of the ladies in this world.. at least you don't have to sit/squat. I knew a woman in college that learned to pee standing up. She said it was very easy. Came in handy when we were camping.
  15. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) Yeah, it's kinda in the toilet.

  17. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 06:46 PM) What you say may well be true but I hear and read far too many stories about families with household income north of 6 figures whining about making ends meet. Does that include whining about the taxes they pay?
  18. Too bad out government isn't held to the same minimums. Maybe then we would have some self control from our spend and cut revenue politicans.

:finger you all for making me very homesick. I lived about 20 minutes from Great America, it was my first "real" job. For about 10 years I would get an annual pass and ride my motorcycle over to the park after work. Parking right up front, make a loop hitting all the coasters. Now I'd have to endure a 4 hour drive to San Antonio.

It's such a good deal I know people who buy a bunch of stuff and just put it on their credit card Duh. Nice savings. BTW, never a sales tax in Mexico. I still can't get use to that when I buy stuff over there.

  22. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 02:05 PM) I really f***ing hate certain people I work with. Most know what I have taken on here in the last 6 months and others act like I do nothing. I have a great big :fyou for you b****. I am really trying hard to a not and b not call my boss and tell him to take this job and shove it where the f***ing sun doesn't shine. resist.the.urge until after the wedding. Sorry for the resist joke, couldn't help myself. Kind of like the tech calls you are forced to endure :-)
  23. I hope fans come around to appreciate Buerhle. I think he is about the most underrated, under appreciated, Chicago athlete. I know hard core Sox fans understand his talent, but for the most part people overlook him. Perhaps after he finishes this Cy Young season, that will change.
  24. I imagine if you are a Red Sox fan, and accustomed to sell out after sell out, seeing empty seats and a 1st place team is strange. JR and Co. did their part. Sox fans have always said put a winning product on the field and we will come. It's put up or shut up time. I happen to think it is a story. The financial side of baseball dominates everything from trades to attendance.
  25. Any Sox team in the World Series, any year. in my lifetime
