    QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 05:07 AM) War! What is it good for? Repeat. But thanks for giving it the old College try

  3. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) Technically, yes you can. Though the ladies call me Dr. Love... I believe your ellipses are out of order. This should read Though the ladies call me Dr. Love ... I assume they start laughing immediately after calling you Dr. Love We kid, because we care™

    QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) Yes, but it has to have a special chip in it so it only gets PBS. My college fridge had a chip in it so it only got PBR

    QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 05:01 PM) You guys got nothing on some of the ladies in this world.. at least you don't have to sit/squat. I knew a woman in college that learned to pee standing up. She said it was very easy. Came in handy when we were camping.
  6. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) Yeah, it's kinda in the toilet.

  8. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 06:46 PM) What you say may well be true but I hear and read far too many stories about families with household income north of 6 figures whining about making ends meet. Does that include whining about the taxes they pay?
  9. Too bad out government isn't held to the same minimums. Maybe then we would have some self control from our spend and cut revenue politicans.

    :finger you all for making me very homesick. I lived about 20 minutes from Great America, it was my first "real" job. For about 10 years I would get an annual pass and ride my motorcycle over to the park after work. Parking right up front, make a loop hitting all the coasters. Now I'd have to endure a 4 hour drive to San Antonio.

    It's such a good deal I know people who buy a bunch of stuff and just put it on their credit card Duh. Nice savings. BTW, never a sales tax in Mexico. I still can't get use to that when I buy stuff over there.

  13. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 02:05 PM) I really f***ing hate certain people I work with. Most know what I have taken on here in the last 6 months and others act like I do nothing. I have a great big :fyou for you b****. I am really trying hard to a not and b not call my boss and tell him to take this job and shove it where the f***ing sun doesn't shine. resist.the.urge until after the wedding. Sorry for the resist joke, couldn't help myself. Kind of like the tech calls you are forced to endure :-)
  14. I hope fans come around to appreciate Buerhle. I think he is about the most underrated, under appreciated, Chicago athlete. I know hard core Sox fans understand his talent, but for the most part people overlook him. Perhaps after he finishes this Cy Young season, that will change.
  15. I imagine if you are a Red Sox fan, and accustomed to sell out after sell out, seeing empty seats and a 1st place team is strange. JR and Co. did their part. Sox fans have always said put a winning product on the field and we will come. It's put up or shut up time. I happen to think it is a story. The financial side of baseball dominates everything from trades to attendance.
  16. Any Sox team in the World Series, any year. in my lifetime

    Use them all. They are small programs and what one may miss, the other finds. The advanatge of Microsoft's entry is the free version allows automatic scheduling and updates. Ad-Aware and Spybot are excellent programs also.

    QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 11:40 AM) Hey.. quit bustin' my chops You know you're as fine as frog's hair split four ways.
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) I have never given a dime to any politician nor worked for any of their campaigns yet the Repubs have been sending me stuff for years. I have always voted for GOP Presidential canditates, but have split my ballot in most local races, go figure. Overall, and very unscientific, but the Dems seem to "do" the internet better. I was very disappointed when I submitted the same 5 questions to Kerry and Bush via their web sites and Bush never responded. Not that it made a difference in my vote. Being a Texas and all.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) Wow, Tex isn't the only one with high level connections... The Chairman of the RNC is emailing me personally. :sleep Glad this went to my junkmail. I signed up with the Bush campaign and both Texas Senators, have voted GOP in several races, donated to GOP candidates, and for some reason I cannot stay on their mailing lists.
  23. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) And just who do you think someone like Teddy Kennedy would have suggested that Bush nominate? Bush has already been 'advised' that just about anyone he picked would be in for a long fight. Are you equating Hatch with Kennedy? I would think that meeting with a more moderate Dem would be smarter. There are always two political fights going on. The public and the private. Bush could, and maybe has, spoken with moderate Dems and gotten their pulse.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) There's actually a reason for this. According to Orrin Hatch's own biography, when Clinton was trying to pick his first nominee, he had other people in mind other than Ginsburg. Clinton then went to Hatch and asked him how he felt about the person Clinton was considering. Hatch responded that the name Clinton had would provoke a major fight, and countered by asking if Clinton had looked at either Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Stephen Breyer. Breyer became Clinton's second nominee. That's the story from Hatch's own autobiography. Wait isn't Hatch a Republican? Did Clinton ask a Republican for his recommendation before nominating somone? :rolly Wow, I wonder if Bush considered that?
  25. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) He could have picked winodj and it would have pissed off the Democrats, who basically just want to s*** on any "conservative" choice. These people get voted in 99-0 in their current positions, but hell no, that's NEVER good enough to move on. Hypocritical douchebag f*cks. So why even have hearings? Just pass him through. After all it's only the Supreme Court. We should have the same standards there as every other court in America. Come on Kap, you can't seriously believe that just because he was pushed through with a bunch of others in a negotiated deal to fill those vacancies, that he should get a free pass to the Supreme Court? Or did you forget our douchbags negotiated a deal to approve a group of nominees and finally end a log jam?
