I think this decade is going to be viewed as the second most changed filled in us old guys lifetimes. The 60's and the 00's are filled with events that will ripple for decades to come. It would be overly optimistic to believe that as a society and our leaders have made nothing but correct, or nothing but incorrect decisions. I believe we should all accept that some mistakes will be made, and hopefully we will learn from them. Likewise, what looks like mistakes today may turn out correct. As long as we stay vigilant, protect the American ideals, value our freedoms, we will be ok.

It's tough to sign a catcher to a long term deal. You never know when the legs will give out. Here is an idea, maybe he can play left field. I wouldn't do a thing until the off season. There is plenty more baseball to be played. It is easy to look good when the team is winning. Let's play through a couple tough stretches and see what happens.

Yawn. I liked the guy but didn't care one way or the other on seeing him go. I wish him luck against every team but us. I guess it was something to write on a slow sports day.

I think terms get tossed around without anyone really defining what they are saying. "Best Division" means different things to different people. Is best the best, most closely matched, then the NL East comes to mind. Most likely to produce a WS Champ, then most of the time the AL East comes to mind. Best teams top to bottom, etc. It all depends on how you define a division. I don't believe trips to Detroit or Kansas City are striking fears into any teams. Cleveland maybe. Minny and Chicago, yes. Does that make the Central the "best" division?
