As I was updating my profile and realizing that my favorite current player choice is no longer around (Sandy Alomar), I was stumped as to who I should list. I really do not have a favorite on this team. Maybe Frank but Frank is Frank, and while I respect his tremendous talents, he just isn't favorite material. It just doesn't seem right to pick some new guy, with all respect to Abo and his man-crush, starting pitchers don't play enough to become "favorite". It would be fun to pull for Crede this season, if he plays decent. Suffering with another lack luster season doesn't seem like a great way to spend a summer. Kong? Even Fan of 14 finally jumped off that fan-wagon. Lee or Maggs would have been the next obvious choices, they too are gone. Do we really have a guy who could be a fan favorite?

I never could figure out why most bouncers are hird for how well they can bust skulls and have people leave the premises when a bouncer who can calm the problem and have the people stay and buy more drinks would make a place more money.

One of the factors to consider is how interested is he and his family in moving to the US, even temporarily. This could be a "I'll do it if the money is spectacular" situation. For the same money playing in front of friends and family, maintaining your family values, etc, may be more important. How much would it take you to move to South Dakota? Mexico? France? Japan? If that is the case, this may be a hopeless cause.

But we don't always need to erode our freedoms to fix them. Applying what we already have may work. An automatic forfeiture of our freedoms is not the right approach.
