The election is over, isn't it? Kerry can talk about his plan all he wants, but Bush won and it should be Bush's plan that is implemented. That is what the country wants. Kerry and his 49% of the vote was crushed in a landslide, he and those voters, can and should be ignored for the next 4 years.

I do hope he has personally contacted all the families and offered our nation's condolences. Whether of not anyone supports our leader's decision to fight this war, we need to respect the sacrifice these men and women have made for love of country. The only one, IMHO who should convey the countries wishes, is the President. I also do not need to see him on the phone talking to the families.

Excellent post. I would like to add: It is much easier to attack a person than their ideas and opinions. Intelligent debate exposes your ideas to scrutiny and review, that scares some people. Personal attacks only exposes the attacker's shallowness. Try starting threads with "I believe", or "in my opinion" instead of "you stupid idiot".

Way back when some of y'all were in diapers the Sox retired #3 Harold Baines number. This was in 1989 after 10 seasons with the White Sox. As y'all know, Baines went on to play 13 more seasons, including a couple more stints with the Sox. A quick, estimates of the numbers comparing Maggs and Baines. JR sent a very nice letter to my son congratulating him. (thank you Steff) Of all the letters he received, JRs was one of the nicest. All of my contacts with the organization have been positive. My family would always offer Sox tickets whenever charities would hit us up for prizes for golf outings, raffles, etc. The team was always supportive and went out of their way to make it even better. Having said all that, I'd rather they be assholes and win 5 or 6 WS.
