I know Ford and other manufacturers have suspended their discount programs.

I know someone who sold to Carvana. Carvana offered more than the dealer but less than what he would have gotten selling it retail of course. Overall great experience he said. I checked on the truck I just traded in and they offered $5k less than what the dealer eventually gave me (obviously some of that was discount on the truck, they can manipulate both numbers).

I lucked into the exact 2021 F150. It had the work truck stuff (tow package, 36 gal tank, extended blind spot, long bed) and the comfort stuff, (dual AC, power seats, 12" display). Usually dealers outfit one way or the other.
  4. Everyone gets attached to baseball written and unwritten rules. Some say the DH ruined the game. Seven inning games have people acting like their hair is on fire. I believe Nine inning games have gotten too long. Let’s make every game seven innings. I’ve always been for full platoon. But all the traditionalists go crazy. God let’s move this game into the 21st century.

I forget to use it and just pull my debit card from the back of my phone. Most of the time I have just my phone, drivers license, and debit card with me. I guess I remember being an early user and having it not work half the time and needing to just pull out the card.
  6. I'm still wishing we had a game tomorrow.
  7. I'm glad Minny is sucking badly this season.
  8. I really wish we had a game tomorrow.
  9. The NFL seems to be pursuing this more than MLB. That site has come up for fifty years everytime a Chicago team needs leverage with their current landlord. It heated up a bit, no pun intended, after the fire. In the end it is a great location but our current teams are locked up.

I use Samsung pay because it works on my watch and phone. I used Google for a while as well. The problem is I don't use either one often enough to make it as seamless as pulling out my debit card. I couldn't really tell which was better.
  11. Wasn't there a manager that went across the field after a game to give him away to the other team? I'd prefer a behind doors chat about missing signs.
  12. I literally laughed out loud here in Whataburger
  13. Call em up! Our new infield.

On a night when everybody is hitting, Grandal manages four walks. It's truly amazing to me that a guy not hitting his weight can draw so many walks. You expect guys like Frank or Babe to draw walks as pitchers pitched around them. Grandal may have the best eye for an umpire's strike zone I've ever witnessed. Minnesota was hitting everyone's bat yet he kept his bat away from the ball. I'm impressed. There must be NL pitchers with higher averages and they don't get walked.
  15. Kerouac would have enjoyed that post. Just like some crazy baseball junkie blowing jazzy rifts that have never been played before or after. ?
  16. Attitude is taking this team a long way. I also give credit to Pujols who offered key praise that led to the veterans and leaders on the team giving him a chance. Don't stop believing
  17. Story trigger. My first wife was an xray tech at Lake Forrest. I was picking her up after work and wound up in a waiting room with Bears QB Steve Fuller. (Who was not very big). While we were talking Keith Van Horn ducked through the massive doorway. Holy crap. Biggest human I’ve ever been next to. I said to Steve you are underpaid with guys his size chasing you. When I read years ago Van Horn was part of a group suing the NFL for pain meds practices I remember how mangled his hands were. Every bone had been broken at least once. Plus the other broken bones. The NFL line is brutal.
  18. A couple of bold predictions. Minny will have more errors than runs today in a 4-1 losing effort. In other words the Twins will gift us a win.
  19. My high school of just over 3,000 students has their graduation at the Alamo Dome. We were just informed that the [previous announced restrictions of each graduate being limited to six mask wearing guests has been lifted. We will have unlimited seating without masks.
  20. You know it’s bad when we look forward to Eaton returning to the lineup.
  21. “Doc, I’m out of Norco, could you call something in?” ”Are you still in pain?” Tex shown as him the Sox line up and drives to pharmacy.
  22. As bad as this lineup looks is still better than most from the last ten years. Oh how we suffered.
  23. I was on the same track as you. I guess if you trust the guy to be in the two spot you should trust him to swing away. I have such a low opinion of Eaton I expected a couple foul bunts then a swinging third. So advancing the runner was a bonus.
