  1. So once you know you are offending someone you should continue to do so? I'm not certain that is the polite and well mannered thing to do. At least not in my social circles.
  2. Yet here we are telling each other how we feel. I'm a white guy living in Texas is there a list of issues I can feel about?
  3. It used to be called being polite and well mannered.
  4. So the owner of the company has a name that has big fans and big detractors. If he rebrands he may sell more merchandise. Will he lose any fans? I doubt it. Seems like a nice win for the owners.
  5. We can call it whatever we want but is it a pardonable crime?
  6. They should be the Cleveland Catholics. Have a priest as a mascot. During big moments have him come out with incense and Latin chants. Maybe recreate the crusades. Can you imagine him giving last rites during the 9th inning! That would be so awesome. Pope races during the 7th inning stretch. He could offer communion before the closer comes in. Dancing nuns as cheerleaders. "Terry Francona is taking Shane Beiber to the confessional after that shot to center . . ."
  7. We could: A lifetime of ignition lock out devices. Long term treatment not go to one or two victim impact panels and you're done. Work only driving permits for multiple years not weeks or months. No public drinking with a notification to bars and restaurants on your license. Nope, instead we tell them they made a mistake. It could happen to anyone. We hand them keys and tell them to keep driving.
  8. We're too lenient from the start. Fuck these drunk drivers. Lock them up. Throw away the key on number 2. But friends are always so supportive. Oh you made a mistake. Families will help them out and drive them around when they lose they're license for 30 days or some other b.s.
  9. In other words the court treated him like they do most people with DUIs. I've known poor college students receiving pre trial diversion and it's off their record. Anyone here not know someone with a DUI? What did you want to have happen to them? Jail time? Unemployment? I lost my brother to a drunk driving crash.
  10. Which could indicate he turned down an extension when offered. Spending on Grandal may have been plan B for all we know.
  11. It take money, organization, and ultimately votes to win an election. Trump doesn't seem to be able to carry candidates down the line. It will be interesting what his influence is with large Republican donors. If he can't contribute to GOP candidates post presidency his influence within the party will shrink rapidly.
  12. Then it's a great lesson for players. Don't jump too soon. Test those free agent waters.
  13. And how many millions less do you think he would have signed for?
  14. Why would he sign a contract as a backup when it was obvious a couple teams needed a starter? Maybe if he was coming off a bad season but he was in a great position for a really nice contract. He would have been a fool not to test free agency.
  15. Agreed. I just don't believe it's going to change anything to the level that some people were predicting.
  16. This will be forgotten in a year and life will resume as it always has been. We've survived worst. This was and is a nice democracy stress test.
  17. Also of note, generally speaking, Democrats come from denser populated areas than Republicans.
  18. I actually heard it first when a friend of mine included it in his show. There is at least one line that someone identifies with.
  19. On the traditional side I've worn out Johnny Mathis' Christmas Album.
  20. Even outside of Texas everyone can relate
  21. Can we keep all the military bases and oil?
  22. You made that sound like a bad thing.
