I just realized 2009 were my all time lows in game thread posts, games watched on TV, and just about every other measure. I underachieved as a fan as much as this team underachieved as players, coaches, and managers.

Predict now; What Happens on Sunday w/Twins, Tigers?
One game playoff and both lose. The Twins because winter is fast approaching and the Tigers because they have to live in Detroit. Twins win the division, they have so much experience making it happen.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 03:13 PM) Noodles and Co, Chipotle, Potbellys, Jimmy Johns, Cold Stone, all popular chains that are on campus. I dont know if you could get her one but a GC to Cocomero would be awesome. Its a frozen yougrt and fresh fruit place, pretty good and really the hottest place for dessert now. Hope that helps. That helps, only Cold Stone is near me. Also, I'm hearing about some cookie place that delivers?

QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 05:54 AM) I ordered a 52 inch flatscreen TV yesterday. Barely 5 minutes after I got it delivered my stepdaughter took my son and climbed into the outer box and started rocking it like an idiot in a boat. She predictably loses control of it and falls over, and knocks over the TV that was sitting vertically on the floor because I hadn't taken it out of the box yet. Fortunately the TV still works but what the f*** was she thinking? Did your wife work out a discount on the TV? Or do her powers of manipulation only work for tires?

I just found out that my dad, the guy that made my brother and I clean out plates no matter what was served, adds a little shredded cheese to the dog's food is she doesn't like it. And even slightly melts the cheese.

White Sox Parking- Is my math correct?
QUOTE (joeynach @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 05:06 AM) Hmm that is confusing. While we all know that baseball contracts are guaranteed if a player retires then I thought he essentially forgoes his contract and is not paid in full. So why did the orioles need an insurance policy to cover paying out Belle is he chooses to retire. I could the insurance policy being there if Belle say had some season ending injuries and rode the DL for a couple years. IIRC an injury forced him to retire, he did not choose to retire. I always assumed the contract was written that way so that their was some "pain" for the team. The insurance company paid as long as he was an injured "player" so they kept him on the 40-man roster. Baseball contracts are guaranteed from injuries, unlike football.

Thank you, I forgot about WalMart. Another item, I was thinking of sending her a few gift cards, what chains are close by campus? Any ice cream, cookie, coffee, etc? I assume Starbucks, any others?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:08 AM) We couldn't even come together for an olympic bid. There is no way they would come together on something huge anymore, unless it became necessary. Just when I thought there was some bottom we wouldn't cross, we grab shovels and start digging. And the anti crowd that is using this to make some comment about Obama is not mainstream. It is the far right and those that can not formulate an opinion without listing to Rush et al.
