My mom has had bifocals for quite some time. My dad got glasses sometime in the last 10 years. Looks like his diabetes is starting to do a number on his sight though.

Brian and I avoid this at all costs. Confuses the hell outta people since we both have Irish heritage.

From the one angle I thought the same thing. From the behind angle I wasn't so sure though. Josh has ruptured his achilles tendon - poor guy iy is the same leg Rusty hit. Looks like the other crewman has a severely sprained ankle and might not miss a race (last I read).

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 09:42 AM) Maybe she is a highlander fan and is just going for the Kurgan look. I loves me some Clancy Brown!

That's what I was thinking as well Soxy. My coworker said he read somewhere that she kept repeating "I am a good mother" while shaving her head.

Unreal! That is a true miracle.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 20, 2007 -> 07:54 AM) not certain how I feel about this. Makes two of us. After knowing someone who as a mom at 13 (and then again at 15 ad then 18), I am just not sure what to think.

Jeff Burton seriously showed his driving skills today getting through 3-4 wrecks. It was scary seeing Clint pull a Sadler and then catch fire. I hope Josh Yost is okay - he busted butt recovering from his pit road incident (When Rusty hit him, all his tendons and ligaments in his ankle were severed). I also hope the crewman the 26 took out is okay - all they've been saying is that he is alert and they had ice on his ankle on his way to the infield care center. It hurt to see the 21 starting to move up only to be taken out while he was minding his own business.

I am flying JetBlue in a week and a half -eek!

Waltrip's "apology" was so phony. he knew what they were doing. He may be technologically challenged, but he isn't that stupid, no racer, much less team owner is. If wasn't out-right told when it was done, I'd have to believe that it was for plausible deniability rather than he just didn't know at all. Sort of like the team discussed it and agreed that MW wouldn't be told when it was going to happen so his denying it would sound truthful. I never really had a problem with him (mostly because he has been a non-issue/non-competitive race for sometime), but thisis a huge black eye on Toyota. Looking forward to the Duals this afternoon.

I can't believe this is in the court system.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Feb 10, 2007 -> 08:21 PM) What a cute doggy! How old is she? She's so adorable! Awwwww! How is she behaving? He's somewhere between 4 and 5. So far he has been great. He is starting to be more tolerant of the hamsters as well (i.e. ignoring them when we have in our room with us).

With the recent ComEd increase, my electric is about the same (or possibly a little higher) than the gas. My recent comed bill was $140 and my recent People's Gas was $135. I am almost afraid to see what the summer ComEd bills will be like now.

QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 07:59 AM) You got me beat.. I couldn't get more than a "hu?" out. So would those who are reproductively challenged be forced to divorce? I was just thinking about that myself.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 08:29 AM) Cold, absolutely no question. I HATE heat and humidity I agree! ETA - I pay my own utilities (well, Brian and I pay them haha) and just got my new and improved ComEd bill this week. It was worse than expected, but nothing we can't handle.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 9, 2007 -> 03:09 PM) Two words Marilyn Monroe only more trailer house and less white house. That was what the three of us (two coworkers and myself) said this morning when we met for breakfast. I flipped on the news last night after getting ready for bed and this was all over. There were several news stories I caught at lunch that I was trying to find but couldn't. I pray for her daughter. It's going to be tough for her. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 9, 2007 -> 04:16 PM) Quite honestly, I think this child should be put into foster care and found a family that has nothing to do with any of them. None of them have displayed behavior that would indicate they can provide a positive upbringing for a roach, God forbid a child. The only one in the story that seemed to care for the child was the photographer (can't remember his name at the moment - I think I saw in this thread it was Birkhead?).

I am finally home! Had a bit of a run-in with a lot attendant at the economy parking lot at O'Hare (and this was after my flight was canceled and I ended up on a US Airways flight back to Chicago). Here is Pooka!

The Blockbuster commercial was my favorite. The first Doritos one was quite funny though. The snickers one was funny too. The rest were eh.
