We got a dog Saturday!!! He is half german shepherd and half black lab. Our friend was going to take him to the no-kill shelter by us but we decided to take him and give it a try (see if he could acclimate to the house and us or not). So far, so good. His name is/was Mooka so we decided to change it to Pooka (based on http://www.irelandseye.com/paddy3/preview2.htm ). I leave for Philly early tomorrow morning though . Oh and I almost totalled my car. I looked away for a split second and some idiot in front of the car that was in front of me slammed the brakes for no reason (no one was in front of them). Turns out the lady in front of me works in the same building I do and rode the elevator with me. She told me good driving in avoiding her and confirmed what I saw - the moron in front of us stopped for no reason. I am so angry at myself, but at least I recovered in time to avoid what would have been a horrible wreck.

Good luck and stay safe!

Brain and I are staying in for the game. I will be making taco dip (served with tostidos baked scoops), cheese sticks, steak dinner and we might be adding some other snacks depending on how hungry we are. That will all be washed down with soda, Heineken and red wine (maybe).

I get to go to Philly again next week, joy lol.

I am in no hurry to get Vista. XP works just fine for me.

I was in Philadelphia for work the last few days and caught while brushing my teeth the other night. Kinda made me a little sad just because he seemed like he would pull through this.

I'm in.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 31, 2007 -> 05:04 PM) 10PM is the latest I will call people. My sister will call REAL late sometimes, but immediate family gets a pass no matter the time. Everybody else, 10PM. I gotta agree with this. After 10 and I am fearing something is wrong. My dad and my husband both work nights so I get worked up if the phone rings after 10. It's an unwritten rule in our family that you don't call after 10 (or before 7) unless it is an emergency or you are traveling.

We need all the laughs we can get, in this, the Monday of months.

Monday morning at about 5AM or so, I was at O'Hare's United terminal when I heard a weird page. It was someone paging Harry Potter to gate 4 (or some gate). A minute or two later some lady asked for the person that paged Harry Potter to repeat the page. Never did run into him.

I just read this a few minutes ago. That guy should never have been paroled. Life in prison should be life in prison.

Sorry, next time I will keep my opinion to myself.

I hate high scoring games. I know the all-stars are all about scoring, but after awhile it gets boring. The Marty comment is that I don't think he is all that great any more (yes, at one time he was). Good/very good sure, but I wasn't surprised he gave up 6 goals either.

I am glad I didn't watch that. As I expected, Marty B was less than spectacular.

Sox winning World Series is easily more special to me.

His thoughts on tax breaks for health insurance scare me a bit. I hav a bad feeling if that went through, companies would see it as a reason for dropping/reducing coverage they currently offer.

A third nomination for Jack and Pats!

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 07:40 AM) The Bears can really anger them and we can run out of the tunnel to the song" here i am rock you like a hurricane" Not too long after Katrina hit, I started playing my Scorpions CD and the first song is "Rock you like a Hurricane." The hockey season was getting under way so of course I played it over and over (not thinking about anything but hockey when playing it). Of course a few people that were driving near me gave me funny looks - guess it didn't help I was wearing a Hurricanes hat at the same time. By the time it dawned on me why I was getting funny looks, I couldn't stop laughing.

I thought I was going to die last night. I finished my dinner and was about to do the dishes when I sneezed. I aspirated some of my dinner (that came up with the sneeze) - I got it out with a good cough, but my throat closed up and I started asphyxiating. Brian jumped into action at first thinking I needed the Heimlich, but realized what was going on and helped me to start breathing correctly again. Of course he had to interject some humor afterwards and said, "Damn, so close to money (life insurance)."

Queen at Wimbledon (I think that was the venue - it is one from 1986, their last tour) is quite good.

QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 11:15 PM) Try Free Cell and get back to me. I am addicted to that game and spider solitaire.
